I know it is frustrating but I am not sure they are trying to be hurtful or saying that you dont love your furbabies. I think they are just thinking of you and your sanity. It is very difficult to have that much on your plate, especially with a new baby. I waited to get GiGi until Zeke was older. My Mosheh (10 yrs old) is not alot of work. He is not very needy but I knew GiGi would be. I guess it all depends on you and your dogs. I am not by any means trying to discourage you but hopefully putting a small perspective on why it is being said. It can and will be done!!! God Luck with your new addition. If you need anyone to talk to when it comes close to time, feel free to pm me.. OH and DONT listen to peoples horror delivery stories. I hate when people try to scare you. I have two easy and beautiful births to tell you about if you need some reassurance.. (Trust me you will get them. I am a little girl at normally 110 lbs and I delivered a 9 lb 9oz boy) Good Luck!! |
Aw, just smile and walk away! They just haven't learned the joy of furbabies. I agree with others here - you love your furbabies so much that you will certainly be a good momy to your skinbaby. It's a different kind of love but very close to how you love your furbabies now. They just don't know! |

People just don't understand how imporant our dogs are to us. I have no kids yet and they are like my babies but even when I do have kids they will still be my babies and will always be |
I don't get it...are they saying that people w/ families don't have pets??.... What does one have to do w/ another? .....People can be so strange can't they?....I'm w/ you on the baby & pet dept..... I would get down on my knees & be all over a pet but you can take jr. on home now ;) |
they probobly say that because alot of people DO give up there dogs when they are pregnant...why i dont know but to each his own......... congrats on the new baby, im sure all ( skin and fur) babies will be just fine together:) |
People get odder and odder the older I get. The only thing I got rid of when I got pregnant------------any thoughts of limiting food intake! I happily gained 85 lbs. Oy--- but I was happy.:) |
I remember when I got pregnant with my second child. :winky: Everyone asked me what I was going to do with the first son. Well, I kept him because there weren't any orphanages in my area and he was potty trained and all ..... In all seriousness though I think people that ask questions like that are missing something in their very souls. What is so hard to understand about loving and being dedicated to a pet? Do they think pets take the place of babies? Well, maybe they do sometimes but I think most of us know the difference and a lot of us are glad that our pets are so much easier to take care of! :) |
