ChestersMom | 06-09-2007 06:10 AM | I got a really bad burn on the top of my thighs during a Hawaiian vacation a few years back. When it's an isolated area, this trick works wonders. Take a wet towel and lay it on the sunburn until the towel warms up. Take the towel off and fan it in the air to cool it down then put it back on the burn. Do this for a couple of hours (while watching a good movie!) and follow up with the aloe vera. I was back in action the very next day. The trick is to pull the heat out of the burn. Between your body's natural defenses and the aloe vera, you'll be good as new in no time.
Now, for the lecture. I was a sun worshipper in my younger days. Now, at 50, you should see my skin. Trust me when I tell you that the tan you get today will be your nightmare tomorrow. Find yourself a good sunless tanning lotion and STAY OUT OF THE SUN:D |
