From what I hear there is alot of dodgy men in Amsterdam trying to sell you things, so please be careful... Also there are alot of sex museums apparently and coffee shops! lol

Are you going to the NEC Conference Centre in Birmingham? I live not far from there too, shame you couldn't bring the babies!

Hi Everyone!

Back from my trip and can i just say that I LOVE EUROPE!!! There was a lot of walking involved I must say.

UK part of the trip - i love the UK! and I was surprised that we had decent weather (even though when i packed the weather channel said 23 deg Celsius so I didn't pack any swetaers :( luckily my co-worker had a sweater that I pretty much stole for the whole trip)

One the day that we had free, we went to Warick Castle, which was very cool. Good place to go, well organized events that somehow we spent most of the day there. Walked and shopped around Birmingham, got to go to Cardiff Castle. I do have one complaint ... all the stores close so early!!! I think the latest store was open til 8:00pm!! :eek: Even Starbucks closed early!!! oh, to Booboo's Mommy, i was at the national motorcycle museum for my conference, small venue but nice. I would have loved to have met you and your cuuute little babies .. really hope booboo is doing better :)

Amsterdam - so much fun! really sad I only had a day there .... our hotel was right dab in the middle of the red light district! :eek: so Mike, i got pics of if you wanna see .. i am not sure if i'd be allowed to post them on here could i??? lol

anyways, did a canal boat tour which was a really good way to see the city, went to the Van Gogh museum which was wonderful!!! its amazing to see the paintings in person ... then we just walked around some more. it was great though. I have attached pics ... seriously I have so many! hahaha

We enjoyed the Anne Frank House, the Rembrandt House the modern art museum (Stedelijk Musuem) in city center, Van Gogh (pronounced Van Goff) Museum, ..and the red light district is a tourist spot as well. Just do not try to take pictures. You can go to the Casa Rossa to eat and have an "interesting" evening.
The canals, the bicycles, the flower show, you shall have a blast! We did!!

Glad you enjoyed your visit to the UK, it was surprisingly nice weather last week so you hit us at a good time!

Ah, the red light district. I'll just have to imagine ... LOL, from what I remember, I think it's best left to the imagination!

that's what i heard from a lot of pple .. but surprisingly .. i was still COLD! hahaha .. but yes, monday was probably the best weather. it was so nice compared to taiwan (no heat or humidity :) ) but one thing, is there hayfever in UK? i surprisingly had a lot of allergies.

Yes, I've had heyfever for the past three years and I never used to get it. I started with it about 2 weeks ago this year and it's supposed to be worse this year than last.... funny, they keep saying that every year! :rolleyes:
