Well, Lou, I hope it is something simple! Been thinking about and praying for you. Do they have you taking iron supplements in the meantime? Thoughts and prayers as you wait ... and again, try and stay as positive as you can. Negative energy has this nasty way of breeding.:) |

Well, that is good news! At least it is not leukemia! That seems like a long wait for a colonoscopy. I hope they are able to find and fix the problem easily so you can be feeling better soon! |
I just caught this thread and hope all turns out to be easily treatable. Prayers on their way for a good outcome. Hang in there and try not to worry too much. You want to stay as healthy as possible and keep your strength up to fight the virus or whatever it is that is making you so ill. :getwellso |
Lou, I'm glad they have sorta pinpointed what is wrong with you. Now you just have to find out what is causing that.:( My B-I-L takes like 5 Motrin at a time and he has internal bleeding somewhere and needs a colonoscopy. I think his is caused by the # of those kind of pills he takes at a time and regularly. That's a long time to wait for your test. But you are on the right track to getting to the bottom of your health problem. :) Take Care.... |

No, he hasn't said a word about that. Weird. I wonder if he forgot because he was looking at other things? I'll stop and get some on the way home tonight. I too, think it is a long wait for a colonoscopy and I said so to the specialist's receptionist. She told me that if it was an emergency I should go to the emergency room. Geez! I do have a call in to my doctor to tell him what she said and to specifically ask him what he is trying to "rule out" with this test. I probably won't hear from him until tomorrow afternoon. Why? Because it isn't an "emergency." I really like my doctor but I deal with demanding selfish doctors all day long and I just hate going to any of them. The nurses on this board can verify that only about 20% of them are nice people. Some of them are really mean! </IMG> |
What a shame to be sick for so long and not get to the bottom of the problem. I feel so bad for you. Maybe you should call the office back and tell them incase they get a cancellation you would like to be notified. Feel better soon. Hope all goes well with the colonoscopy (s). They don't hurt and it will be over before you know it. Hang in there Fran we're all praying for you to get well. :getwellso |
Lou, I'm glad to hear that you've pinpointed the cause of your symptoms. I think if your doctor was really concerned about the bleeding, he would have either put you in the hospital or ordered an immediate test, so it's kind of good news that you can wait. I would call him and tell him what the receptionist said though. He may be looking for ulcers with the colonoscopy, which are often treatable with antibiotics. Prayers for a good outcome, Judy |
Lou, I will keep you in my thoughts and prayers. Sending get well hugs and well wishes.... :ghug:. |
I must, again, say thank you to all of you for your prayers, advice and words of comfort. They mean a lot to me.:ghug: L |
