Daddy's doing better Daddy was able to sit up on the side of his bed this morning and help himself get in a wheelchair!!! He actually ate grits this morning, too. He went to physical therapy and when he got back he sat up for 2 hours!! Then tonight he ate cream of chicken soup, sat on the side of his bed and Mama held a mirror while he shaved HIMSELF!! Ya'll, this is a miracle!! I can't tell you how many nights in the past month I've cried myself to sleep wondering if he was going to make it. Yesterday (21st) was a month to the day since he was first admitted to the hospital. Mama said he's very tired now and was given pain meds for his back and is about to go to sleep. When he's finally ready to come home there's going to be a huge banner across the front of their house to welcome them BOTH home. I miss going over there every morning to check on them before I go to work!!! Thanks for your prayers and well wishes!!! |
I am so glad to hear that your Daddy is doing better  . Hopefully he will get to come home soon. I will continue to keep your daddy, you and your entire family in my thoughts and prayers. |
I'm so happy to hear this! Is he still going to be getting the shots in his back? They help my husband so much, he gets them every 6 months........ |
thats just wonderful news:) so happy your dad is much better:) will continue to pray that he makes a full & speedy recovery;) |
That is GREAT news!!! I hope his good recovery continues till he is fully recovered! |
That is so great. My Dad was in the hospital for over 2 months with an anyuerism and a lot of complications. He was 80 years old and they gave him a 15% chance of making it thru surgery and 5 % chance of getting thru recovery. That was in 1999 and he is still with us and will be 88 in October. So the power of prayer and a fighting spirit can pull him thru. |
What wonderful news! You've been so brave. |
that is good news  thanks for keeping us updated on your dad :) I am sure he enjoys the company of your little ones. |
