How often do you talk to your parents? For those of us not living at home any more, how often do you talk to your parents? How far away do they live? My mom lives up in Alaska still, and I'd say I talk to her at least twice a week and my father lives down in southern California and I talk to him once a month, if that. |

My mom lives like 10 minutes away and i talk to her everyday, and my dad lives about 30 minutes away and i talk to him almost every day! I love them! |
I talked to my mom everyday until she passed away two years ago. I still talk to her daily just not on the phone anymore. :) |

I have to admit that I don't talk to my mom often but . . . my oldest daughter and I talk a million times a day . . . and during the night . . . and at 4:30 AM when my granddaughter is throwing up . . . and . . . well . . . all the time!! I wouldn't know what to do without hearing from my daughter all day every day. I guess the relationship that I have with my children is a more loving and supportive relationship that what I had/have with my mom. My children can tell me anything - nothing shocks me and they know I'll be supportive. :) Lisa |
There's an option missing: Never! My mom is dead and I have no contact with my father. (By choice) My mother and father in law I talk to once a week or more, they are wonderful people :) |
My mom passed away in July 2000. I used to call her everyday. Now i still talk to her in my prayers.I miss her so much. I talk to my father once a month, we are not that close. My parents got divorce when i was 5. |
My parents are both dead and we haven't spoken to my husbands father for nearly 8 years hopefully won't need to speak to him for the next 8 either loathsome man ! |
I live in AZ and my family is all back in the Minnesota area and with the time difference being 2 hours now I do try to talk to my Mom at least once a week. I talk to my Dad whenever he answers the phone but I don't really ever call just to talk to him. I hadn't thought about that til now I guess. It's not that I don't get along with him or anything we just never really did talk that much. I do also talk to my daughter who lives in Fargo almost every day. |
I talked to my parented atleast once a day. Well atleast to my mom, she'd never give my dad a chance. Now that their both gone I wish I could talk to both of them all the time. I miss them so much. I talk to them in my prayers, but it's not quite the same. |
I speak to my mom everyday. I'm in Alabama and she moved to Iowa last summer. She has free long distance on her home phone and I on my cell phone so we will talk for at least an hour everyday. I thought maybe I would grow out of this, I'm 23, but from reading some of your posts apparently its not something you grow out of. |
My mom moved back to Brazil at the end of last year, i talk to her almost everyday tho...i really miss her. My parents divorced when i was 3 years old and it has been like 5 years since i spoke to my dad and over 10 since i last saw him...but my moma is everything, she is a 10!!!!! |
