4-in Chihuahua-smallest dog in the world in newspaper
 
This little guy is 11 months old and weighs only 18 ounces and is 4 inches tall. This was in the Orlando, FL paper.
He can't claim the smallest dog in the world record with Guinness Book of Records until he's 1 yr old which will be in June. I would be scared to death to have a dog this small!!!

He is so cute! I was picturing a poor little malnourished-looking Chihuahua with frog eyes (as the tiny ones often look) and he is far from it!

Oh yeah, he's really cute, and in the article, they talk about how healthy he is. That's really good to hear. I'm pretty sure the article states that he came from normal size parents and that the siblings were normal size, but this little guy just stayed tiny!

I just went back to the link and there is a video! His bark is so tiny.. it reminds me of those little robot pigs at toy stores that make walk and make the barking noise.

I must admit that is the cutest chihuahua I have ever seen! I didn't know they had long haired ones. He does seem very healthy and well loved. :)

:eek: I can't imagine that small!!! Chloe's 1lb 14oz right now and she's WAYYYYYYY too small for me.

He is the cutest little guy, though!!

How is that the smallest dog in the world? There's a woman here that has a Chi I think that's also 1 lb 2, or 3 oz, JCarlson2004...little Cali is tiny! Wow but he is really cute and soooo small..what about that Yorkie Pinnochio that was only 1 lb?

They don't go by weight, they go by Height, and I was thinking the same thing :) JCarlson's baby is such an adorable, teeny, tiny little baby!!! This chihuahua is 4inches tall which is smaller than the one currently in the Guinness Book of World Records...That's why if he's still the same height when he hits his 1st birthday next month, he will prob go into the book.
This was in the Orlando paper.
