what do you think about.... Husband & Wife having there own rooms? Last night hubby and I were getting ready for bed and he said, are ya gonna put the "dogs" up? I said no, there fine right where they are lol They were on my side not hurting anything. He says, he is afraid that he will roll over on one of them. I said that they will move and they stay on my side. he said that were gonna have to get are own rooms LOL I said fine! but my girls stay! and they did lol We have a wonderful relationship, we don't argue, we have great communication but he don't like the girls in the bed and I do. should we get separate beds? |
Absolutely not! He just needs to understand that you enjoy the comfort of the pups sleeping beside you. My boyfriend feels the same way (as he has always had large breed dogs) and he too is afraid to roll over on top of them and squish them. But honestly. Puppies are smart and they will move somewhere else if they become uncomfortable. or you can buy them their own little bed and set it down at the end of your own bed. In my situation.I gave a little... They can nap with me in the bed during the day, but at night they sleep in a little bed beside our bed. just remember that your marriage comes first- be willing to sacrifice a little. |
and my marriage does come first!!! also I forgot to add that he works 2nd shift, so he comes home at 11:30 at night and I'm already asleep, the girls are already a sleep with me in bed, he could move them, but he don't. Last week he slept on the couch :( He has said many times that he feels to crammped in the bed, even if it's just him and I, he says when he wakes up his back hurts from not being able to strech. I suggested we go to a king bed, but we just bought are new Canopy bed 1 yr ago and I hate to give it up. |
Im sorry you are having this problem. My hubby said the same thing when i got my dogs, but did i listen nope they still sleep with me. and my hubby works second shift to only its differnt times he gets off at 3a.m. so ive been asleep for quite some time when he gets home. And my 2 dogs are always sleeping with me. They stay mostly on my side but once he goes to bed he doesnt notice when they move to his side. my Anna the yorkie loves to snuggle with him and she wakes up when he gets home and he brings her back to bed with him when he comes. its so cute. he loves her hes just to manly to admit it. |
Only Joey sleeps with us, but I would definitely want my own bed. I sleep so much better alone. |
Get a bigger bed !!! :D That ought to solve the problem...course the yorkies will just stretch out even MORE and hog it but at least he'll have room to move |

I would pass the new bed on to one of the girls (or just eat the cost) and you all get a bigger bed. My husband was the same way w/ Mojo, but four years later, we are still in the same bed and yep, Mojo is still there w/ us. And we just have a queen (love the closeness). The hours....that's another story. My grandparents have always had different beds...different rooms because of thier different work hours - plus, he was a big hunter too and did raccoon hunting (which is at night). The odd thing is, neither have worked in years (YEARS) and he is too old to hunt, but he still sleeps in one of the upstairs bedrooms and she is downstairs??!! Anyway, I am sure you two will work something out! (hugs) |
