I'm at the dining room table with both of them making bows for the Y Fair and there both just watching me and getting such a tickle out of the finished bow! The one Francis, she lines them all up and after I get one done she will say " awww now that one is so cute" LOL I'm just getting a kick out of them!! Here are my sweet ladies I care for! Francis is the 1st pic and Virgina is the 2nd. They both are 87 yrs old! |

I agree you are doing such a great thing...your mom has provided some very pretty ladies with a nice home enviornment ...that's the way all our elderly should be treated. They're just beautiful women and I can see very happy with your mom and you. not to mention great bow helpers lol - |

I'm just glad we can keep at least 2 elderly out of the nursing home! Don't get me wrong, this is a very stressful job, your there 24/7 and if you want to leave, then you have to arrange for the care to come into the home and care for them. My parents bless there heart, they havent had a vacation in 15 years or better. I'm hoping to change that soon. Francis was in a nursing home before she came to be with us over a year ago. I went to visit her before she moved in and all she talked about was how she was locked up and they wouldnt let her out. She always said the food was so bad and you could just see how unhappy she was. Now she is like a new woman! We take them out shopping and out to eat and they just love it! We have a big enclosed porch and they just love sitting out there and enjoying the birds singing. My parents even has put squirrel food up on there deck just so the ladies can watch them come up and eat. The familes of these 2 ladies are just so overwhelmed with the care they get! We already have people on a waiting list! |
Do you live with your parents also? |
That just makes me cry and happy that you are there for them. God Bless you and your family Missy Quote:

If I need a day off, then my mom is real good, she is a great boss :) Actually we think of each other as partners! There actually looking at a new house, not sure if they will do it or not, but if they do, we will be able to have 3 ladies (or men) I brought my sewing machine today, so we will see what they think of that lol |
how sweet they loko like sweet ladies and a pleasure to take care of when i worked in the convelescent home omg you would be surprised by what goes into taking care for people but it was my first 2 weeks and my workload was 12 patients, im just like its no wonder that they dont get the quilty care becuase i have to take care of 12 people and sometimes their family. its really great that you take pride in taking care of them, and enjoy doing things with them, if it was anyone else they would probably be in bed or in a chair all day watching tv or soemthing, thats good that they are helping bows to cause they can feel special and needed i just think that its wonderful for you to be helping them out. also are these the two that one had the rash? i was thinking the other day if you had ever figured it out and it had gone away. my grandmas still has heres for about 2 maybe 3 years now but it hasnt flared up yet but it was antibitic resistant to so nothing she took would make it go away |
