| Adobe Photoshop is pricey and probably not worth it to anyone but a commercial artist or other professional. (I got a deal on mine.) There are lots of other cheaper applications out there that do what you want. The one I'm familiar with is Photoshop Elements. It's made by Adobe but much easier on the pocketbook.
Hopefully others will respond here with other suggestions. I'm not sure Elements is the best or the cheapest. Maybe others will have ideas.
