Post pregnancy- 1 Attachment(s) Okay, so I was 161 the day of the c-section and two weeks later now I weigh 133 and at 5'7" that's not so bad, considering I was "skinny" prior to the pregnancy weighing in at 112/116. Fabulous, right? Well, I'm now curious for all you ladies out there that have gone through a pregnancy and had a c-section....HOW LONG BEFORE I GET MY BELLY BUTTON BACK? Seriously! It's flat and while I have a little belly still, I'm not concerned about that...more my belly button. *sigh* It was cute and now it's "missing". ;) I spoke w/ a surgeon...I TOLD you I was having issues about it being gone...and he told me I might have a umbelical hernia. Anyone else have this happen to them? Supposedly I'm to give it up to six months to come back, if not, they'll evaluate me again and there's a surgery to give me back my belly button. I can't believe it. Just wanted to see what your experiences were. |
I don't know about belly buttons, cute or otherwise..... however, I can spot a beautiful baby, and I see -- Taylor! |
Hey Leslie!!! I asked my hubby about this and he was wondering if they cut through your belly button when they did the c-section? Taylor is GORGEOUS! Congrats!!!!! |
is she ever beautiful.. she has such a "little girl" look to her.. and that outfit... too cute!!! keep those pictures coming! |
RLC- Not that I'm aware of. By that I mean, I know that I have a pretty little pencil line of a mark really, really low. But maybe when they pulled back the skin and what not is it possible they did cut my belly button on the inside? I'm not sure how that all works. Is your hubby a surgeon or doctor? |
And thank you for the compliments on my little two legged "critter". ;) She's fabulous. And I will post some new pictures here soon, I just have to resize them. But RIGHT NOW I've gotta go give said little one a bath. God she's cute....the sounds she comes up w/! |
I have no advice for you as I had both my boys naturally, but I just wanted to say how adoriable your baby girl is! |
No advice either as I also had my kids au naturel lol...Taylor is beautiful and I cant wait until you post more pics of her!! Dawn |
lol....you "All Natural" girls.....;) How big were your kids at birth? I have MAD RESPECT for you ladies! That takes so much more courage than my c-section, that's for sure. POST UP ANY OF YOUR BABY PHOTOS TOO!!! |
She is sooo adorable!! No advice as far as the belly button and all that, but sounds like you're getting back down on weight, wow! |
I had 4 c-sections and with each one the amount of time was different as to when I got my belly button back. Mine was always back by my 6wk check though. Your little one is a cutie! |

That's all folks! ;) I found this to be the quickest way, otherwise I'd have to resize them all and that takes time that I wouldn't have until...Monday? SO, I figured I'd just post 'em up like this. ....And then there's me! http://i145.photobucket.com/albums/r...er/Cheeser.jpg |
congrats on the beautiful baby you know i never had a c section with any of mine but i still havent seen my bellly button be normal and its been 7 years since i had my first and then my twins and then my last one who passed but he was born in dec 05 and i still havent seen it normal but i have alot of stretched skin and i just think thats why but im sure as soon as most of your body parts and inside belly parts are back to normal then you should see but i know they say to take it easy and slowly after you have one and you of course had a c sec but i always seemed to have better results when i started early with light owrking out i thin thought because once you relax and you kick back after having a baby your body just kinda heals as it is and if you cathc it while its still healing i think you have better results and this is just not really my opinion but from things i have seen cause with my twins i was all over the place after i had them, the next day after having them i was up and around and moving into my house since i had not moved my clothes from my parents to my new house i had no clothes to wear when i got home so i had to move my stuff and i lost all my baby twin weight but then after my last one i wasnt feeling well and he was sick also so i didnt really work out and stretch and stuff and i got huge with him but just give it time and it should pop back out and if not then maybe they can look into whats going on? i know my twin boy his was out when ever he was born and then they stuck the security device on it also which oulled it even more and so i out a cumberbun on it and tried to tuck it in and then they found out he had a small hernia under it but they havent done anything about and i thought you had to but some days its in and some days his belly button is sticking out so i tape a dime over it and its fine. and some days its light purple but they said just dont let him starin and hes fine so we will see hummmm but dont worry your body does crazy things when you are preganant and even afterwards sometimes |
Congratulations!! Taylor is a doll. I think C-Section babies have the cutest little shaped heads. Both of my kids were c-section. It has been awhile since I had them but I never had a belly button issue. I never lost my belly button--as a matter of fact I still haven't lost belly or my son's baby weight either!! The only thing I found again was my feet!! So that must mean recovery time exceeds 18 years. I will let you know when that happens. |
Congrats on your baby! Lovely name and a cutie pie as well! I also had a c-section, im still having trouble losing the rest of the weight that has decided to stay lol.. but i still have my belly button, so im not much help there. i hope everything works out okay though and you won't have to have surgery. |
Great pics of Taylor....I love them ALL... Dawn |
I had both my boys natural but with drugs lol. My first baby was 9lbs 5 ozs and 22 1/2 inches long my second baby was 7lbs 2 oz 20 inches long.I don't know about the belly button but i would like to know when i will get my mind back lol.. your baby is sooooooooo cute!! |
I can't relate on the c-section thing. but the belly button I can. I was 103lbs just before I found out I was pregnant with my son, The day I delivered (natural) I was 135lbs he was 5 pounds 8 ounces. I walked out of the hospital in my normal pre-pregnancy jeans. My belly went right down to "just about" normal but my belly button still poked out a little. About 4-5 weeks later it was normal again and I was back down to 103-105 lbs. Then just 14 months later gave birth to my Daughter she was born at 35 weeks gestation and weighed 4 lbs 14 oz. I was 142 lbs when I delivered her, but again went right back down to my normal wieght! But listen to your doc, if its not better in about 6 months then get it checked up on. |
Taylor is beautiful! Congratulations! Wow! Now you need to find matching outfits for both 2 and 4 legged "critters"! I don't know anything about belly buttons.... Maybe when Taylor's falls off your can super glue it on you? :D |
No belly button knowledge, but Taylor is such a cutie! I want one!!! :) |
not sure about this either cuz i did not have c-section...but your baby is beautiful!! congrats!!!!!!!!! |
"I don't know anything about belly buttons.... Maybe when Taylor's falls off your can super glue it on you?" THAT'S HILARIOUS!!! (her's fell off about four days ago, her's is WAY cuter than mine right now. I'm so jealous. ;) ) |
Don't know anything about the belly buttons...but Taylor is adorable! She's soo cute, you must be soo proud of her! |
Had a c-section ... didn't have belly button issue ... and the baby's heads are always so perfect b/c they did not have to squish their way into the world .... you shall be fine .... Taylor is adorable .... |
RLC- I feel like a dumbas$. ;) lol, we've talked quite a bit and I KNOW your husband is a doctor. Don't know how I forgot! How is Lamar doing?? |
