Opinions on flowers please!!! 3 Attachment(s) These are flower arrangements I made to take to the cemetery for my grandparents and my husband. Now I have someone who wants me to do several for her to take to a different cemetery and I don't have a clue what to charge her. I know how much it costs to buy the materials, but should I charge for arranging them, or should I do it for free? The middle pic is the arrangement for my husband and the other 2 are for each set of grandparents. What do ya'll think? |
Your flower arrangements are beautiful. :) Do you know this person well who asked you to make them some? I think a lot depends on that. Whatever you charge them, they sure will be getting some very nice flowers for the graves of their loved ones. :rose40: :wrose: :daisy: :rose40: :wrose: :daisy: |
Depending on how close this person is, is how I would charge. I wouldn't do it for free. I know you'll be charging for the materials, your time is up to you. They are very beautiful, I used to do flower arrangements. I would take the total of materials & triple it. |
You could charge by the hour. If it takes two hours to make it, you could charge $15 (just chose a number you think is suitable) and charge $30 for labor. |
Thanks for the advice. I know this lady casually from the office so I think I'll figure the materials X 2. Doesn't this sound fair? |
I say follow your heart! Blessings, Rhonda |
Your arrangements are beautiful. Unless you are lucky enough to have nothing else to do with your time, and it isn't for someone special, you should definitely charge something for your time, gas used to pick up the supplies, and any supplies you are using that are yours (glue, ribbon, etc.). Most people wouldn't expect someone to make something for free. You have a special talent and it shouldn't be taken for granted. |
