ahh even I know who you are talking about.. I was just about to order from her.. but decided not to.. and then two days later the stories unfolded... poor babies.. all they wanted was a treat and they got stuck with the poopies:(

Don't know if you would call this a scam or not, but we still have one member that shows up every now and then. While I don't personally recall her ever asking for money, she comes on to ask for clothes for her dogs. Many people have sent clothes, whatever she asks for. She NEVER has once sent them a thank you or posted a thank you on a thread. She's never once even offered to show pics of these dogs (even though people have asked her numerous times)...rescues, I believe.

I have my own theory on it...but this has never sat well with me.

That's aweful.. I personally have sent a few members things I have used for Kayah when she was a pup.. or have never used because she didn't like them.. or even have gone out and bought people things they were looking for.. now. I do want to find out if they have received them.. I don't want them to make posts about it.. just a simple thanks for your time would be nice...
but I think I may know who you are talking about.. I'm not sure if I still have her screen name.. I would have to go back through my PMs and check

I know who you mean, and it's funny because she was one of the biggest defenders of the scam artist that got kicked off of YT a couple of months ago.

You know the old saying.... birds of a feather..... hmmmm.

Hhhmmmm, I don't know this one but seems odd she would ask for clothes for her dogs...it's not like they really need them!!! LOL

How did I miss this one?? I don't know how I miss these threads, I am active member and go through all the posts everyday. I feel so out of the loop sometimes.

Unfortunately there have been a few scammers on YT. I almost got scammed with the treats and then the dresses but I didn't have a good feeling about either of them so I didn't buy anything. I am so glad I trusted my instincts. It is a shame people scam such great people out of their money. YT is full of such wonderful, caring, people and they don't deserve to be scammed.

I definitely see the potential. In fact, I'm so disturbed by the prospect that I would like to investigate. If you could all Paypal me $25, I will launch an investigative effort and chase the scoundrels off the Internet.

And, yes, I'm KIDDING!

I miss all the fun, though. I don't recall any scammers here.

Everyonce in a while someone signs up with a sad story about a sick puppy.....my antenna goes up when they're brand new to the site & money is mentioned more than the actual problem with the dog.

there's one right now on the site I'm pretty sure isn't legit.....I just hope people use their common sense. With longtime members I never mind trying to help....but I learned my lesson with the people that are new and mostly looking for easy cash.

Personally, I've been scammed TWICE on YT. One was banned the other one is still on here (she knows who she is-a long-time member at that). It is between her concience and I.

Unfortunately, as bad as this may sound, I hear the word donate, in need of, seeking, or something to that effect...........I RUN the other direction or simply avoid opening the thread.

It really hurts to be taken advantage of moreso than the $$. I know I work a job just for my pet's vet's and personal needs. I don't have much and when someone prey's on you it HURTS and it really messes up things.

The only place I donate now it to YT. I hope I don't come across as a bad person.........:(

It was that post that got me thinking, & your responce submitting that link was great. I saw it was a new person & they had never posted before. The spelling was horrible, but mine aint the greatest. LOL Just got me to thinking.

I completely missed this thread also. Thanks for posting Amber. I've gotten scammed by former friends before, borrowing money knowing they had no intention of ever repaying it. I'm very careful now.
