What's everyone doing for Easter Dinner?
 

We're just going to stay home today and keep things low key. We'll be ready if anyone drops by, but it should be a nice quiet day. What's everyone else doing. We're having for dinner:

Honeybaked ham
Asparagus
Mashed potatoes and gravy
Cinnamon apples
Warm rolls with melted butter
...and of course...
DEVILED EGGS!

Maybe I'll make a chocolate cake or something for dessert...

We are at my sister's house (she has 2 kids and a husband). She lives 2 streets from me. My other sister is here with her kids and husband also. We are having:

Mimosas
Spiral Ham
Au Gratin Potatoes
Broccoli Casserole
Homemade Rolls

Dessert is Birthday Cake or Coconut Cream Pie.

A great time is being had by all!!!

My Daughter is gone to a friends today for an Easter egg hunt so we went out to eat

im going to the park to help hide the eggs for the kids :) and then im coming home & having dinner, i dunno what my mom is making but shes not much of a cook sooo we will probably eat very little and order pizza at 2 am like we always do.. really weird family traditions, i kno lol

We had traditional roast beef and yorkshire puddings and we had friends to help us eat it too lol

What time should I come over? :)

Mmmmm...coconut cream pie sounds good! :) I could make that!

We went out for dinner last night. The restaurants are to busy today.
Kicked back low key for us today also. Not cooking, taking the day off.

Oooh that sounds good too! And yorkshire pudding...how appropriate! LOL

We went for Brunch as it was our first holiday without my Mom and we wanted to do something different than all coming to hers/or mine lately for a meal. Yorkiepip can I come over?? My Mom was from England and my favorite meal was Roast Beef and Yorkshire Pudding!!!

Were having Easter at my house this year...everyones gonna be here in less than an hour, I should really finish getting ready!

Me and my hubby spending some quality time together.Niceeeeee...LOL

Dinner alone and quick for me today. Had a nice Easter breakfast at church this morning though.

My group is playing a benefit this afternoon and I need to get going here pretty soon.

Hello. We are just here at home. This is by far the ugliest weather I've ever been in for Easter. It's way too cold for my son Mark and tiny little Holly to go outside. We are having a movie day and I am making a traditional Mexican meal.

*Enchiladas Rojas (A corn tortilla rolled filled with White cheese and fried in a red pepper sauce)
*Frijoles Borrachos (Beans boiled with Bacon, Serrano Peppers, Tomatoes and Onions with a cup of Beer)
*Arroz (Rice)
*Papas con Zanahorias ( Fried Diced potatoes and carrots)

for Dessert: Flan (a creamy jello-like custard topped with carmelized sugar.

Since the grandkids all had plans someplace else, I went and got my mom and brought her out to my house and we just cooked hamburgers on the grill and made potato salad and baked beans. Even ate on paper plates so was quick and easy.

We've had company since Thursday.
Kids and grandkiddies came home with us after church.
Ham w/br sugar, pineapple & cherries,
mashed potatoes & city gravy glaze,
cornbread bake,
broccoli/carrots,
cole slaw,
veggies cheese chips dips,
brownies,
pop & bear naked in the woods (limeaide, vodka, ice & beer)
We're done, everyone's gone, dishes are done, house is clean, we're alone:cool: .

I am going to my son's girlfriend's parents house for dinner. It will be the first time I have met them.... :cool: Should be interesting!!!

My daughter doesn't like ham so.......... we had

turkey breast
sweet potatos
green beans
homemade macaroni & cheese
deviled eggs
apple salad
rolls
strawberry shortcake
homemade vanilla ice cream

I'M TOO FULL!!!

We had a great day!

This morning we drove 85 miles to our son's house to spend the day with our son, DIL and 2 grandsons...our daughter and SIL and our grand daughter, our DIL's mom, my husband's ex, her husband, his son and his son's 2 boys plus our DIL's friend, her boyfriend and his son. I think that's everyone! They had an Easter egg hunt for the kids and everyone opened their baskets and gifts. The parents and grandparents pitched in and got one grandson a battery powered Cadillac Escalade, one got a new racing bike and we got our grand daughter a pair of Heeley's...she's been wanting some for a long time now so she was thrilled! I know that sounds a little off balance but we're the only grandparents for our grand daughter and we spent the same on each of them...it was fair and balanced!
We had a nice day...

Then we went another 35 miles to meet with my Mom, sister, BIL, her 2 kids and my BIL's brother. We had a very nice dinner at the swanky hotel where my Mom works...they put on a huge appreciation buffet for their employees for the holidays and it was nice.

Now we're home with our boyz...we've had time to unwind and have some coffee...no big plans for dinner after all the food we had today so we might just have some popcorn and watch a movie later tonight.

Just a quiet dinner tonight with a good friend. The menu was:

Mashed Potatoes
Gourmet Brown Rice
Broccoli
Asparagus
Strawberry Shortcake

Since my arm is still in a cast, from my fingers to shoulder, my DH cooked out on the grill. We had hot dogs for dinner.

That's what we had !! Almost exactly :D there was 20 of us and we had a great time.....
