Prayers for a maximum prison sentence...
 
If everyone could help me Pray for justice I would really appreciate it. Someone in my family committed money laundering and fraud, stealing money from me, my parents, elderly people, minorities and many many other people. He has hurt many people, including two people who committed suicide as a result of what he did to them. Today is his sentencing, and it's been an emotional day for me, so please Pray that justice prevails and he gets the maximum prison sentence for what he's done to his own family and hundreds of others :( :mad:

Today is the day he gets sentenced ??? Whatever YOU are wanting for him is what I'll be hoping for...I know this has been a horrible time for your family and others and he deserves what he gets....

Instances like this make me realise what a hard job my husband has being a Prison Officer here in Scotland.
Too many people are let down by the system, and officers are blamed when really it is the softly soflty approach of this current climate and do-gooders putting pressure on judges about sentencing.
My hubby will tell you of all the people he has in prison who really don't give a toss about their victims, and expect everything when inside, tv, personal stereo, carry-out food, the vote, compensation for EU human rights issues, etc.
What about the victims, I say - nobody seems to care about them !

I hope you get what you feel you are entitled to - JUSTICE ! ;)

That is so.... sad. :( I too hope the Justice system gives him the maximum sentence possible. That person has no conscience. Please let us know how it turned out today.

I'm really upset and am hating our justice system right now. The SOB got 9 years, and the judge subtracted the 18 months he's been in jail, so he's only spending 7 and a half years for all that he did to everyone. People committed suicide from what he did to them and most everyone lost their entire savings that had been grown over years and generations. I just can't believe it. :mad: I can't understand how bad people get lucky like that :mad:

The justice system is certainly screwed up. That's why we have thieves like him, child molestors, rapists and killers on the streets, becuase apparently they have more rights than good honest citizens :mad:

I think I'd get my family together and sue him for every penny he took. You probably won't get it but the man will never rest in peace until he pays it back.

oh im so sorry the stupid justice system did this again to another family or person. you know they always cater to the bad people, likt they dont want to hurt their feelings, the way i see it if you were that cold hearted to do that somebody and you had no feelings whatso ever then you should expect the same back. and if he was that way then we all and including the judge should be. but they are not and its sad, that int enough time.

and not to step on any toes but im surprised he even got that much time. usually they dotn even get any years.

but they do sometimes work for you. thank heavens this past court date for my husband we made out of there with a 200 dollar fine when the fine could have been 3 thou.

but my husband is an ex felon and i was surprised but i think they kinda cater to the bad guys

I am so very sorry that the justice system didn't work for you. I cannot imagine the pain you are experiencing. Kinda sorta makes you want to take matters into your own hands :D
