Hope all is well for you ! |
I just now saw this and said a prayer for you. You are probably at the doctor right now and I'm thinking of you! *HUG* |
I will be praying for you Marci! I'm sure it's something simple. Hugs sweetie!!!! |
Hey Everyone.. thanks so much... well i have to have my Gallbladder removed. i guess there are many stones in it and its probably the cause of all my problems so.. i'll probably have surgery at the end of april, early may.. what a way to celebrate graduating university! the doctor isn't sure why i have this problem... if anything i am underweight for my height and i have no previous family history of the problem... so i guess it is good news... she says it is an easy surgery.. i could be in and out in one day depending on how i do... they will make two small incisions and use some tool to take it out.. rather than one large incision.. but i'm still so nervous... i'll let you know more when i know more :) i'll meet with the surgeon after my exams (april 23rd) and i'm sure i'll know more then *sigh* |
Aw, I'm sorry - you're so young to have to mess with that. It's not so bad tho. I had mine out and it was really easy and the recuperation was pretty fast. I'm glad it's something that can be taken care of easily! BUT one tip! The ride home fro the hospital is not fun cause your insides are bumping up and down on the ride. So take a pillow to press to your tummy to help. That was the worst part for me. I've heard others say that too. So - don't forget the pillow!! |
I'm sorry to hear about the gallstones. Those attacks can hurt something awful. You'll probably think I'm crazy, but there is an alternative to surgery. My sister had gall stones and was to have surgery and I did some research on the net and found a gall bladder wash that rids you of gall stones. My sister did it and she didn't have to have the surgery...she got rid of hers with the wash. I also know a couple other people that did this and didn't end up having to have surgery. I did the wash also and got rid of stones I didn't know I had. If you want the info on it, I can get it for you. It's not fun to do...you have to drink epsom salt water and some olive oil...which ain't easy...but it works! |

Hi Marci - just seeing this thread now. Gallbladder surgery is usually pretty routine and simple. If they do it with the laparascope and the small incisions, you shouldn't have too much post-op pain and recovery should be easy. I haven't had it done, but several family members have. Good luck with your surgery and if you can schedule it later in April, then by the Yorkie Fair you will just be able to enjoy everything!!!! |

I'm sure you'll be okay. It is anxiety-causing of course and my prayers are 3with you to stay calm and not worry too much. |
