When I go out to see my uncle in AZ he makes fun of the way that I say certain things. I never realized the differance in the different parts of the country until then. LIke when I asked a waitress what kind of pop they had she just chuckled and said You mean soda?? lol |
Soda? What's soda? Dixies were pro slavery in the civil war era and they likely live on or below the Mason - Dixon line. Yankees are native New Englanders or inhabitants of the northern states. According to this test, however, the more Yankee you are, the more "Great Lakes" region you speak -- if that makes sense. |
That was so fun....I grw up in Michigan for 21 years but have lived in Connecticut for 24 years so my answers were a combination. Some things I had a hard time answering like gym shows and carbonated beverage as I always called them Tennis SHoes and Pop (very Michigan) but now I call them Sneakers and Soda Thanks for the link |

Im 56 % Dixie. I thought it was pretty funny that most of my answers were from the "southeastern US' but a few were northern. I guess Im weird. I did live in washington DC for 2 years when I was younger maybe I picked up some diversity there  :D Such as caramel, it sooooo has 3 syllables!! (one of my northern answers  ) |
48% yankee, barely a yankee |

I'm 53% (Dixie). Right on the Mason-Dixon Line. Yeah, right. I've never lived south of san francisco. I'm going to call myself 47 percent Yankee. Isn't that the same thing? |

I'm 37% Yankee. Thank goodness. I lived their most of my life. I'd hate to think I forgot everything I ever learned. :) What the heck is up with the last question with the bug? I never played with a bug that roll's up. Am I weird or what? |
Well, I was 53% Dixie - right on the Mason-Dixon Line. I was born and raised in Calif. However, my mother was from Tennessee and my dad from New York. I suspect I got some sayings from both sides of the family. But probably just a wee bit more from my mother's side. |
I'm 43% Yankee :D that was fun! |
