Coach vrs Dyson
 
Well I wanted to make a big purchase and decided either a new handbag or the Dyson vacuum I've been drooling over. Wellllllllllllllllllllllllllll....... I decided I had to be practical and I purchased the Dyson :) I got the purple animal. So far I'd say :thumbup: :thumbup: :thumbup:

I vacummed my living room with the own vacumm and then went over it with the Dyson. :eek: There was lots of gunk! Alot of it looked like carpet fiber BUT there was dirt too! And I just vacuumed with my own vacuum!

I told my husband that for the price, this vacuum better be totally amazing and super or else I'm returning it. So far I love it, so we'll see !

ive been dying to get that !!!! with 3 cats and a shedding dog im sure it will find tons even tho i vacum everyday !
im glad you like it i want it sooo bad!

i cant believe were oooohing over a vacum lol

can you turn the beater bars off on that one? I dont have carpet but would love to have the cleanliness of the dyson...

I got the DC14 the other day at Target. They had a thing that you got a $50.00 gift card when you bought one. Cool. I cannot believe I spent that much on a vacuum. :eek:

I have to get a new vacuum every year or two cause they always break, so I thought I might as well try it. This one has a five year warranty on it.

I don't know about the Animal one , but with the 14 you can.

I just hate spending that much $ for a silly vacuum!!!! We'll see how it keeps doing. :)

Do you mind if I ask what Target was asking? I got the DC14 Animal too.

Congrats -- I just got one recently after all the recommendations here. I have been very happy so far. It continues to get a lot out of my carpet. I like the onboard extension thing and the ease of emptying. My dachshund and Jack Russell shed a lot more than I ever thought short-haired dogs capable of. So, the Animal is great for us.

I haven't tried the hose yet, but wow, there sure are alot of attachments. I didn't read what they all do yet. Looks like 3 other floor attachments and the the 3 that go on the machine. Plus the floor care kit. Have you used that?

I'm a firm believer that a little 'retail therapy' never hurt anyone but at this point in my life practicality seems to be taking over. I love COACH but I think I would have bought the Dyson too!

Ha ha! Maybe I'll justify somehow ....someway.......that I need the coach handbag too? I'm sure it would help me vacuum better....somehow! :)

Well, I don't know if it would help but you'd sure look nice while vacuuming with your new COACH bag! Maybe you need it for the attachments or something??

Just for everyone's info - I NEVER would have bought a Dyson if I hadn't read the threads here about them. NEVER! Do you know how much it has cost me to be on YT????? Hundreds and hundreds of dollars. Gee, think I have a problem??? :D

No, I haven't tried the floor care kit or the other attachments that aren't kept on the Dyson itself. I guess I ought to try everything out just to make sure it all works and I know what to do with it. But lately I am doing good just to get the regular vacuuming done. I love how it feels almost self propelled when the beater bar is engaged.
