You won't believe this My Mom's obituary was in the Chicago Tribune and they have an online place where you can leave your condolences. Well an elderly friend of mine who left a message there for me as she couldn't make the funeral. Well she called me today and anyone that left a message with their email is getting an email saying that they were left as beneficiary under my Mom's estate and will inherit 5 1.2 million dollars!!!!!! Wish I knew where she hid those millions all these years.! She is very investigative so she checked into it further and it is a Nigerian scam that goes thru England and then to Nigeria. She contacted the paper and they are checking into it further. It's unbelievable that they can get away with all of their scams! |
that is so sad. preying on obituaries man. i mean come on. these people are making me so sick and you know whats sad is they put so much time into these scams that they are so good at them and they know how to do it. that makes me sick. i wish these people would just go away man, i wish someone would send them to jail or drop them off a cliff. uhhh im so sorry and you dont need this kind of stuff especially anything to do over your mom in a time of need and grievence. |

I can't believe that people keep falling for those scams, it is on the news all the time about it and not to ever send anybody any money. |

I'm so sorry that someone would prey on the grief of someone's loved ones. I know people aren't always thinking clearly at these times and it's so cruel to take advantage of them. I know it happens - it happened to our family to the tune of $30,000+. It's a sad world. |
Oh My Gosh, that is just horrible. :( To prey on people at one of the lowest moments in their life. I hope whoever investigates these scam artists catches them and they end up in jail for a very long time. |

I can\'t stand those scams! It\'s bad enough that they spam peoples email every day, but to take advantage of those who lost a loved one? These people sicken me. |
The scamming is totally getting out of hand and the sad thing is, nothing is ever done about it.:mad: My brother got an email a few weeks ago from a lady. She said she was dying and they she wanted him to have her inheritance. Yep you guessed it, 5million dollars. She said she didn\'t want to leave it her kids because they were greedy and didn\'t deserve it. I told him to google her name and he did and she was a nigerian scammer. It makes me sooo mad that these stupid nigerians are preying on innocent people\'s money.:mad: There are now so many scams out there that you can\'t believe anything anymore!! I am so sorry they did this to you, that is pretty low and sick!! Glad you knew it was a scam though!! |

I am so very sorry that you are having to deal with this. :( I wish it were legal to spend 30 "free" minutes with a scammer -- at a very minimum they wouldn\'t be having any "little scammers" to follow in their foot steps. Sending hugs, Patti :ghug: |
