oooh wow guys your houses are so beautiful. :) The different styles of decorating are amazing. you don't want to see our house. :p I can't wait until I move out on my own. I want to live in an apartment - that I own - in the city. I know exactly what I want it to look like, but these pictures are giving me some new ideas. :D |

Even with our inexpensive cameras (speaking for me anyway) you can zoom in on edit to pick up alot and with some of the microscopic tech today it can be picked up. That's how they take your # off an ATM with a pic from a cell phone and then do that. |
Outside 2 Attachment(s) I like the outside of my house better then the inside, so I am posting pics of that. THese were taken this year in June when my pool was just completed. |
I love your pool!!!! it's awesome! I hope I can have a pool house someday  |
Thanks Quote:

I didn't mean yours and of course 100% zoom would not do it but if someone saved the pic and then used this new tech equipment it really would be possible I have been told. |

I watch 'Dateline" :idontknow LOL:) |
I just loved this thread. I love interior decorating......you all have beautiful homes and some of your homes should be in Better Homes and Gardens. I'll post pictures of my home when I get around to taking some. lol I guess that means I would need to tidy up. Might take awhile. Keep posting....I love seeing other peoples decorating ideas. Makes me want to do some decorating. |
4 Attachment(s) We are in the process of remodeling right now. This is the bathroom, it's pretty much done for now. At some point we will get a new tub surround and replace the vanity and cabinets. Our house it 102 yrs. old, btw. |
4 Attachment(s) This is the family room. Now please don't mind the piles of crap! Everything seemed to multiply and get piled while we were remodeling! We did a complete makeover in this room. The wall that is barn board was wallpapered. The wallpaper was literally made of straw! It was horrid! The cabinets had the same wallpaper on them. We're replacing the furniture in this room. I'm thinking some sort of Microfiber so it's comfy for everyone. We have to go shopping for that still. The floor was carpeted and now it's a slate tile. That same tile goes throughout the entire first floor now. Kitchen, hallway, bathroom, family room and living room. Oh, and don't mind the blue curtain. I just put that up until I can find another white one! |
4 Attachment(s) More of the family room. |
4 Attachment(s) And now the living room. We painted, added the border, ceiling fan and throw rugs. We're also going to replace the couch and chair in here with a big, bulky dark brown leather couch and chair with wood accents. And I'm sorry about the mess!!! This is where everything got piled while we worked. |
2 Attachment(s) My friends who live very close here just moved in January and I just love their house but mostly the master bath....why ? more white lol Beware dial up users this will be large sorry. |
Fannie, I love the changes you made in your home and I especially love the slate floor. |

Do you ever watch "This Old House"?? It is one of my favorite shows. I've learned so much from it and am intrigued at what they can do. |
I used to watch This Old House years ago... loved it! lol My hubby is a carpenter, so I'm pretty lucky there. Our biggest challenge is the house itself. We can't knock out walls and really change anything major in that way. Back in the day, this was a very grand house. The 2nd floor was where they lived and entertained. There wasn't a kitchen in the house, they had a separate building for that. To keep the heat and odors out. The 1st floor was the basement - coal room, meat room, etc. Years ago, they converted the 1st floor to have the kitchen, bathroom, living room and family room. The 2nd floor has 3 bedrooms now and a rec room. The 3rd floor has 3 bedrooms too. We're gradually getting it all worked on, but it's slow going. |
Don't post often...but am enjoying the Home Tour :) I came to YorkieTalk this morning to look up ideas for something to feed my Bentley...whose breath is not so great the last two days. I think it's because I bought him some rawhide doggie chews a couple days ago. And now he's got an upset stomach from them. Going to throw out the rest and never give rawhide chews again. But of course I got side tracked and started looking at all your home photos. So many beautiful ideas. I'd toss in a few pics of my place but the chaos of "stuff" I have around would scare all of you. Seeing all the organized places is giving me some inspiration to at least unpile the dining room table. If I ever get a room to look "normal" I'll send a couple pics. Lately I'm up to my ears in my collections of vintage tin dollhouses, dollhouse furniture and toys from the 40' and 50's. Then there's the baby things (first grandchild ... baby Lydia....is 6 months old now)....Johnny Jumper, exersaucer, bouncy chair, baby swing etc etc. And with Bentley's toys tossed in I someimes feel that my house is becoming a kennel. Thanks for all the photos. Now I'm off to look for some clever solutions for Bentley's doggie breath. And I suppose I should buy him som greenies the next time I'm at the store. |
4 Attachment(s) My favorite part of our house is outside...we just built an outdoor kitchen out by our pool. We also built a waterfall on the side of our pool....it is so beautiful to look at and sounds heavenly!!!! We spend all our time out there. |

I really like yours sooo much. Such lovely colors and I love shutters...we'll be waiting for more. Rhonda, your place is just absolutely wonderful and living in N. Carolina you really get to enjoy it almost years round. The kitchen is something that saves you many steps I bet and it looks like you have the fireplace and stove for cooking. The log is such a novel idea and just blends in with the waterfall so nicely. |
