They had to do it because of the crazy weather patterns. I was listening to a discussion on the weather channel.

Things aren't like they used to.........hence the weather ;)

Its this weekend!:eek: Normally its the first part of April:confused:

The weather? Hubby says it to save energy? Some body?? Decided that if they started it earlier they could save a bizillion in energy costs or something?? I don't even pretend to know whats going on.. I'm just clueless over here!:rolleyes:

Whats next?? we just live at night to avoid running the air all together?? or is it we can't get out of bed till the sun comes up and we have to be in bed when the sun goes down so we don't run the lights?? is it the lights that are using all the energy? or the air conditioning? Down here in the desert its the AIR! lol We should be nocturnal!!! for real! Now that would save energy!

The weather has been changing rapidly in the last few years........yes, it's to conserve energy......it's not getting dark and light like it used to anymore.

The bright man that came up with this idea was the almighty Gorge Bush back in 2005 :rolleyes:

i love it.... its better for me....i hate when its dark in the middle of winter
when i leave to go home for work at 5pm....

I agree! I hate comming home in the dark...even at 6pm. At least now it won't be dark til 7. :)

and i dont have to worry about it getting dark when i go home to walk lexi
at night,, iwill have sometime to feed her and dilly dally before i walk her..
nighttime walking is scary for me,,ya never know whos out there lurking at

I love it! Why would you not like it? I love having more daylight :D It just sucks that we're waking up earlier :eek:

i was talking to one of my customers who said that when she was a little girl they didn't have DST that they did it when she was about 5.. and she told me that they're trying to get rid of it all together within the next year or so... you know what that means?! no sleeping in.. or wait.. is it sleeping in?? ahh I just confused myself:rolleyes:

I haven't heard the reasoning that it's because of the weather. I watch the news alot and everyone is saying that not only is it going to save a gazillion dollars in energy, but that it makes people happier. Lots of people, including myself, suffer from seasonal depression. It will be so nice to leave work and it still be sunny. When I leave work now, it's dark outside. So depressing :*( I'm so excited about the new DST. :thumbup: :thumbup: :thumbup:

That would be SO much fun! I wanna go out on the boat that you're always showing pictures of! You can come visit me and I'll take you to the sandy white beaches of the Florida panhandle. We could travel the country and tour beaches together. How fun would that be!

and we return to Standard time on Nov. 4th ... this finally gives the Halloween kids some more daylight ... I always worried about little kids out in the dark (even though the parents go with them now)

Its not that I don't like it staying light longer... That I will enjoy! As it is my daughter is playing her Softball games in the dark twice a week.

I just hate changing the clocks and having to adjust... I'm such a creature of habit! lol

Someone says change and I get all "Monk" and freak out! lol :rolleyes: Its a part of my personality I guess.:o
