There is a member here who is part of a rescue group - missingdigits :) and while talking with them I just found this out....

There is a search engine powered by YAHOO that you can designate a charity and for every search you do that charity gets a penny...this applies to not only dogs but schools, kids, disaster relief & our environment. There are choices at the top of the page....

if you designate Fluffybutts they get a penny for EVERY SEARCH - I just did it and all you do is go here http://www.goodsearch.com/ type in FluffyButts - click Verify - and they get a penny FOR EACH SEARCH !! All this involves is typing the name fluffybutts in your searches - EASY stuff right ???

They just got their first check :D Isn't that cool ?? When we search the net - we can be helping dogs at the same time !

EVEN COOLER is after you do a search - you can SEE the amount Raised for fluffybutts - I love this idea and am doing a ton of searches today lol

I really like it - after you do a search it saves who you donated to and then you can check their totals for each month.... I searched .50 cents worth today lol - I did mindless ones but wanted to see the money !!

GREAT !! With the amount of searching I do on some days I know this can really add up and the fluffybutt people recieved a check already from Goodsearch - so by US using it - we're helping with dog rescue in a small but big way - money for the dogs.

ok.... so what is Fluffybutts? What do they do? I don't see where we can select the charity we want to donate to...

YES !! It keeps the charity you designate even when you close your explorer which is great cause you only need to type it in once.

BUT - when you're searching for different things ...you have to remember to use the 'back' button so you're on the page with the Charity mentioned (I think)....at least that's what I've been doing
