I actually bought it because as I was talking with one of the shop owners (buying shirts for the girls), she asked what kind of dog(s) I had - so I whipped out my photo album (OF COURSE) and commented on the photos of the girls wearing the new dresses I had made and she asked me to wholesale them to her in Hawaiian fabrics!!!! I'll post some photos once I've got some made. I already have a few YT orders to fill!!

Great, great pictures. I 've only been to Oahu, and Maui looks like an entirely different paradise. No crowded beaches. No overflowing towns. I love it.

Wow! Jodi, all the pictures were wonderful! Thanks for sharing them! I am glad that you all had a great time and that you are home safe....even though you came home to a big shock....snow! hee,hee...that sucks after the nice climate you had there! The girls look so cute in their new shirts! I am sure they were super excited to have you all back home! Can't wait to see pictures of the dresses - very cute fabric!

awe... i just adore maui.. the whale pics are so beautiful they made me tear up... this is the first year i've missed whale season.. they are so amazing.. the girls look so cute un their t-shirts.. where did ya get them?? my sister lives on maui and i'll send her there...we went there are vacation a few years ago and she didn't want to come home.. (we live in jersey..lol) i dragged her back to jersey and she was back living there in less than 6 months. she's been happy ever since.. maui is so beautiful.

The shirts came from a store on Front Street in Lahaina called "Oh Baby". This is the store that wants to wholesale my dresses!! The owner is really nice and is looking to get a small dog soon - so of course I recommended a Yorkie!!

Did Sissy and Angel have a nice vacation?

Sissy and Angel were at home with my friend! Angel learned how to climb stairs and shred everything she can get her teeth into!! I think they had fun, though.

I can just imagine the girls, I know mine when I am gone for over 4 hours ! you must have got slobbery kisses for sure! Your pictures came out really good and you look so happy out there. It had to be hard being away from them. Glad it all went well. We tried to think warm thoughts and have all of the snow gone from Michigan when you got back. It didn't work too well. I'm getting tired of the "B" word. (blizzard)

So glad you had a great time. I loved Maui when I was there in '02. Your pictures are great. Carson loves to play in the snow. Me on the other hand would rather get a pool boy too. See you in May.

Tracy, I hope you do go someday. It can be very expensive, but it totally depends on how you travel. You can certainly spend a lot for a week if you are staying at one of the big resorts in Kaanapali or Kapalua where you room alone will be more than $300/night and $250/day to eat meals!! Most folks who do this will never leave those areas and think that is what Hawaii (or whatever island) is all about. The reality is that most of these resorts are man-made and you will miss so much by doing that. Plus the resorts are so big that you can walk almost a mile from your hotel building to the beach!!

There are tons of beautiful condos for rent. We have had lots of success not spending more than $100/night for a condo. We then buy groceries for breakfast/lunch/snacks and beverages (about $150 for the week) and eat dinner out. Dinner prices can range from McDonald's to Ruth's Chris. We always rent a car because there is so much to do just driving around. There are lots of tours that can be booked as well. The most expensive part of the tirp for us is airfare. From Michigan, if we can find airfare in the $800/person range - we jump on it!!

I enjoyed your pictures, they are so beautiful. I have to agree with Val your hubby is a hottie!! Of course you are just as beautiful as he is, so you make a gorgeous couple. Congrats on the 26 years of marriage. I love all of the info you have on the Hawaiian islands, you are so knowledgable about them. We still hope to go soon, maybe not this summer, it is SO expensive. If it weren't for the flight being so pricey we would definately be going, we have to buy 3 adults and one child. Welcome home.
