I laughed... Not sure it would go over in the South though......and hubby does not like the name b---h for a female dog anyway......says it is too offensive.... but, I don't have a problem with it:rolleyes: It will be interesting to see what happens.... |
I don't really have problem with the language. But I don't think I'd feel comfortable shopping there - I'd think it's aimed at a certain type of woman. Who embraces her inner female dog. |
I remember seeing the store owners on that show.. showdog mom and dad's or whatever it was called :) I think it's a cute name.. just to be taken lightly :) |
The name doesn't bother me at all when it's used pertaining to female dogs - but the prices would probably send me out the door jusdging from all the celeb ads on the site. |
She says she just wants to get back to the original use of the word but them has t-shirts that say:eek: "I love shaved poodle"!!!!!!?????? :eek: I don't know. There was a time I probably would laughed it off. Now, I feel I would be uncomfortable taking my granddaughter in there to buy something. To me it's an adult pet store. Pure and simple and should be thought of as such. Her connotation of the word bitch certainly isn't as in female dog! I guess it's the old fuddy duddy in me coming out. I'm showing my age! :D :D |

Can't say I care for it. I don't like the use of the word either. When breeders use it I wince but understand that's the term. When others use it, it's just not nice to my ears. And the graphics are a little too much for my taste. Could we put a little weight on the cartoon model.;) I also probably couln't afford to shop there anyway. |

They made a brilliant move with the name. You would not believe the press they are getting! We have a hamburger joint that has been here practically as long as Seattle has been, named Dick's Drive Inn. Never one word said about that name. It is near the same neighborhood too. I say all the more power to her. Gracie and I have put a visit to the store on our "to do" list for sure. |
I'm not offened at all, i think it's quite cute. The shaved poodle just rubs me the wrong way. |
