Oh, no! I am so sorry this happened to your Mom! I have been wondering how she is doing. I will be praying that the repairs will go well and she will have a restful night. [I would certainly deal with that nurse later.] |
Prayers for your Mom, hun...and hunt down that nurse. I'm so sorry. |
Sorry to hear this news! You and your mom are in my thoughts and prayers! |
MOm was not suppose to move after the splints was put in for like 6 hours. when she woke up she got up causing the splints to rip out. it takes like 6 hours for the ateries to regrow around the splints, so there was nothing holding them there yet. Well she had the 2nd operation and they are now in place again. where she had moved all 5 of them was ripped out. They are giving her blood now. My sister, brother and sis inlaw said the Dr who found her was screaming and mom just set there in her blood saying its my fault. He said no its the nurses and he was screaming at the nurse for leaving mom. Im home and cant even talk to mom, she has to stay still and shes still groggy they wont let her have the phone. . but Im so worried . My cars broke down and I cant even be there with her. I will update again as I hear any thing. Thanks for the prayers. They did say they will be keeping her for a few days. Shes older and what already happened, they are not letting her leave. |
You are in my thoughts and prayers. I'm sorry you can't be with your mom right now but hopefully she will just rest and give the splints time to heal. Be sure to take care of yourself also:) |
Sending hugs and prayers..... I hope that your mom is doing better this afternoon. Hospitals are such scary places -- it's ashame that you can't have one of our wonderful YT nurses taking care of your momma. Please keep us updated on her condition..... :ghug: :ghug: :ghug: :ghug: :ghug: :ghug: :ghug: :ghug: |
Sending prayers your way, I hope your mom will make a full recovery! |
I am so very sorry to hear this. I will be praying for you and your Mom. Hang in there! |
I am so sorry this happened. The nurse shortage is so acute some hospitals are not as safe as they should be. Your poor Mom shouldn't be taking the blame. I hope she heals quickly. |
Well my sister just called my moms awake and saying shes hungry. The Dr came in to check her and she said hey do you think you can get me a bite to eat.I havent ate all day. lol So shes better. They will be watching her closely for the next 24 hrs and giving her blood.Whew Im feeling a bit better.I was so mad that they didnt call me right after all that happened until later. But I know they was all scared and worried too. I was freaking out and crying and my girls were both crying. very scarey. Ashelys still having alot of pressure and low pains , she said it feels like the baby is trying to turn or some thing. I told her hes prob just getting lower but if she gets worried to make sure she calls her Ob. |

Glad to hear she is improving. Mu husband had similar surgery years ago and they had this male nurse by his bedside and keeping pressure on the tube things in his groin for hours. My husband couldn't move. WHen I took him home late taht night, the doctor said if he starts to bleed from those incisions don't call 911 as he will nbleed to death before they can get there and told me to just apply hard pressure if it happened, Needless to say, my husband slept all night and I stayed awake fearing he would belled to death. Hopefully your Mom will be much better tomorrow. It must be so frustrating that this could have been avoided if the nurse had just stayed there. I will keep her in my prayers. |
i'm sorry i hope she gets better soon:getwellso :getwellso |
Oh my gosh:eek: That's so danged scary, I'm glad she's holding steady. That nurse should be F I R E D! Big hugs to you, I"m sorry that you're not able to be there:( |
OMG.....your sweet little Momma... She did great....pulled thru and then the nurse screwed up...what a shame.....not sure what her excuse will be....but that is a HUGE mistake..... but, thankfully, you have a strong willed Momma....good for her!!!! I knew she could do it!!!!!    |
WOW! How horrible that this had to happen to her. I am very glad to hear that she is on the mend now. It is truly sad that you cannot leave your loved one alone in a place they should be the safest! Bless your family! d |
Praying for your mom's full recovery! So glad to hear that she is already feeling better and has an appetite! |
if her insurance provides for it, get her a 'round the clock' nurse ... even if she is not covered, get it ... itz worth every penny .... I had that for my mom .... it gives you peace of mind ... even though we all stayed at the hospital 20 hours a day ..... taking turns .... I sure hope your mom getz the attention she needs ... |
I know this is a very stressful time for you. Be there for you mom as much as you can. I know this will be tough with the puppies coming too. Pace yourself too - I know much easier said than done but it will do no one any good if you fall ill from over exerting yourself. If someone offers to help - TAKE IT! No matter how small the help might be, you just accept it ok? I know, I've been there too, and in looking back, the offers to walk Jazzie, to pick-up the mail, to run errands would have helped me quite a bit. Not to mention the friends and neighbors who offered to cook, clean the house and even laundry. What is your mom's prognosis? I hope you get lots of encourgement from her doctor and that she will be able to come home early. My Prayers are with you and your Mom. |
Wow ,all too scarey.I wish your Mom a speedy recovery. Is your Mom in a different State or City? Hey, What did I miss ...You are having Puppies???? Is you |

We are not having puppies. we are having a human baby, My Grandson. lol Moms doing ok. When she leaves the hospital she will be going to my brother and sister inlaws home. I want her to come here with me , but I guess with the car being broke down and all Its better she stay in town. I have been a nerves wreck even now that I know shes ok, Im still upset and cant seem to stop crying.I dont know whats wrong with me. I suppose to be strong for her and Im not. Im just a motional mess. Guess I my self need to go to the Doctors. Mom said they had a 21 year old boy stay with her all night and all morning, She said he never left her side and was so sweet to her, She said when her blankets would cool off he would have another warm one waiting. She said he set by her side and talked to her until shed fall asleep and was right there when she opened her eyes. |

Glad to hear your Mom is doing better. It is so emotional watching our aging parents go thru medical issues and declining health. Hang in there and big hugs to you!!! |
I WILL PRAY FOR YOUR MOMMY. my father just went thru this. i will try and make this short. he had a heart attack (which they believe to be gas) for 30 hrs until they determined blockage. they were to do 3 and ended up doing 6. he was in icu 5 days b/c he could not stop vomiting. they then found out the medicine they were giving him was toxic. a week later went back (still vomiting) found out his heart was beating 150 pm. back in the hospital he goes. keep him there for another 5 days...electric stocks to his heart...found fluid in his lungs (took it out w a needle...1 1/2 liters) it is very hard to see someone you love so much go thru this. i will be thinking of you and ck'g in on your post to see how she is doing |
