wisdom teeth.. ehh Ehhhh im sure a lot of you already had your wisdom teeth removed..i just have a question and need someones input (hopefully someone that will agree with me... ) but ya... i got my bottom two removed 2 years ago already (they were growing in the wrong way).. i didnt get all of them done at the same time cuz of some insurance thing.. but ya so anyways.. back in HS when i wore braces.. i got two permanent teeth removed from my top row to move my teeth around and stuff... and now my wisdom teeth grew in.. they grew in the right way BUT my dentist keeps pressuring me to get them removed.. BUT i already got other teeth on the top removed so i keep telling them i think my teeth have room now so i think its okay for my wisdom teeth to just stay there? they keep insisting im wrong and seems like they are just making excuses to make $... saying that ohh its too hard to take care of wisdom teeth, it will eventually rot back there, i have no room for it (which is weird cuz i think i do??)... my family/friends say to just ignore them but they are so annoying!! they arent bothering me at all, they already grew in, they grew in straight, i have room for it cuz i already got two other permanent teeth removed before on top... do you think i should get them removed and listen to them or just keep it there? thanks for any input!!! :D |
I am 46 and had my last two wizzies removed last summer. I had only the lowers remaining. I can tell you that having only uppers or only lowers can really mess up your bite and lead to painful jaw joint problems. I am now dealing with that, years of migraines and neck pain that were not relieved by any medication. Please do as your dentist suggests and get the uppers removed before you end up with jaw problems, gum disease, etc. Those wizzies are very hard to keep clean. And, the older you get, the harder they become to remove. I see we are neighbors! PM me if you want a referral to a great oral surgeon! |
