Venting--feeling used
 

Someone I met last year on the forum, recently posted a lot of my telephone conversations that I thought were between her and I on a forum. This was a person who I shared my feelings with regarding the dogs/puppies, the joys, the downs, the good and the bad. Now conversations are being taken out of context and being manipulated. This is allegedly to remind everyone on the forums that she is a great and wonderful person. Maybe she is--but her behavior doesn't reflect it.

Lesson learned: even when you think someone you've met on line is a real friend--be careful and not as trusting.

I learned that the hard way to. Even if you have not met them in real life, they were still your friend, and it hurts all the same! I am sorry you had to go through that!

I'm sorry that this is happening to you. It's also important to remeber that everything you post online you have to let it go as public info...that's just the way the internet it. Not that it's okay, just how it works.

Whoa! So sorry this is happening to you! It is a great reminder though for all of us!!

I was told when I first got internet ... if you don't want the world to know ... then NEVER write it on the internet ... personal correspondence included I now see ....

So sorry this happened I am really trusting also. But I Still will be till someone does something to make me otherwise. I use caution but trust in the best.

I truly feel for you. I know of one other person that had a similar experience but on another forum..........the other person became like a stalker towards them, it was very Scarey stuff!

Try your best to not let it bother you,that is what the other person wanted to accomplish.

I tell people over and over..keep your business private...it is alright to share some things, but only God knows what is going on 100% with me...I don't tell my husband or daughters everything about my Yorkie "comings and goings"..LOL

I have been very disappointed in some members who love to post threads from YT in another forum..it looks as though they have nothing to talk about except YT...what ashame.

You have learned a lesson the hard way and those lessons are rarely forgotten.

People who don't have anything better to do than to gossip about other people need to get a life.

I believe that for some people it's the only way they can make themselves look better is to make someone else look worse.

I trust a few people on here and I'm glad to see that some of those people have posted to this thread.

Thanks for the support. I actually did meet this person; I truly thought she was friend that I could share my thoughts and feelings. But now this is being used against me on another forum.

And yes, she copied a thread from YT and posted it for her supporters to discuss and ridicule me as well in a forum that most of us do not have access to, so we comment on the thread.

Unfortunately....the Internet is a microcosm of the world in general. You have good and bad people....stable/insane....kind/unkind....loyal/disloyal....

I prefer to trust people ...to a point. There is a part of me that will always withhold certain information, especially if I only know them through the internet. For all I know...they could be communicating through a Proxy site and conveniently forget to tell me they are incarcerated...lol

I'm sorry you were hurt and disapointed in that person's behavior. If it's any consolation to you, life has a way of leveling the playing field. People who can't BE a friend... HAVE no friends......and that's a very sad, lonley way to live.

Since there are a few of these type of threads floating around on here I am just going to add my 2 cents. Since a friendship not working out for one reason or another is a pretty common thing in life I really don't understand
why you're taking this all so personal? If I am not mistaken you were the one that pretty much questioned this other person's ethics weren't you? I don't
believe this person so much as replied to your thread when her reputation was being questioned. Seriously, no offense but it seems rather hypocritical
to me that you can talk and discuss things at will but she can't.

Also you say supporters like it's a bad thing? To me my supporters are my
friends. Very often in life I will mull things over with my friends for they are
the people that keep me humble and are honest enough with me when I am
seeing something wrong to set me straight again.

And regarding the private forum issue...If I had my choice to have something posted about me here or on a private forum. I would take the private forum
any day of the week because this certainly isn't real fair either. Seems to me
like your out for a pity party when it's time to move on and let it go.

I don't really know what is going on here, but it is not like she dropped any names so stop giving her a hard time. AND losing a friend is a big thing so why not take it personally?

Just let people vent and get some uplifting support every now and then geez...

The reason she is taking it personally, is because it is personal...

One thing I like about the show forum is...you are asked NOT to forward posts to other forums..and when you do, you are "deforumed"... Now, it does not prevent you from discussing subjects posted, but when your post is pasted elsewhere to become topic of the days discussion, IT IS personal.

Some forums were formed to do nothing more then to "gang up and bully" others..

I am soooo sorry that this happened to you. It is a shame when people have nothing better to do than sit and talk about other people...especially when they can't be there to defend themselves.

So sorry that you were betrayed like that. Its not right. But now a days, you really do have to be careful who you trust from now on.....UGH....its not right........:(

Thanks for your thoughts. Obviously my feelings are hurt and I am looking for some consolation. Trolling for friends (on the internet) is what I am accused of. Some of my real time friends are folks I originally met through or because of the internet. Can't all be winners I guess.
