RoxyJosMom | 02-01-2007 08:41 PM | Update on Krysten't trip south Well, Krysten did make it to Myrtle Beach ok. Her eye is much better. 2 days ago she came down with a cold. Got worse. Went to ER - they told her she had upper respitory infection, myofacial pain syndrome(no clue where that came from - she wasn't in an accident) and her throat was bleeding from all the coughing. Gave her cough syrup w/codeine. Came home, took 1/2 dose, was playing with lthe little boy she is watching, playing chase and ran right into a wall. HUGE goose egg on her forhead and headache. Today, feeling worse, slept 15 hours last nite, now dizzy, shaking bad, sick to stomach. Called Pharmacist - something wrong, go to Dr. Went to different Dr. - won't see her because she doesn't live in that town. Went to different ER, said quit taking the cough syrup, nothing is wrong, go home, check with follow-up Dr. tomorrow who is located at the facility who won't see her becaues she doesn't live in that town. (She used to go there when we lived in SC, so it's not like she's a new patient.) Went to Urgent Care center, won't see her since none of the Dr.' s there accept Aetna Ins. She's crying so hard, because she knows something is wrong but nobody will listen to her or do anything for her. I told her to go to the Dr. we used before we moved back to PA. It was in a small family practice. They took her right in - he was upset that they didn't give her antibiotics (they told her she didn't need them since she didn't have bronchitus - even tho she did have green, thick snot(sign of infection)- sorry and she always gets bronchitus ) AND, she has a concussion from running into the wall. This Dr., while laughing at her story gave her the benefit of the doubt and said he would blame the head-on into the wall on the codeine. He gave her free antibiotics and told her to come back tomorrow at no charge so he could be sure she was ok. AND she ripped two of her artificial nail along with part of her own nails trying to get into her car this morning. She has been wearing a target on her back since the day she was born. The saga continues......... |
