Alaska Story!!! Eeek!
 
This was in our local paper (we are in PA, not Alaska, lol):

10,000 Juno Residents lost their power after a bald eagle lugging a deer head crashed into transmission lines.

A woman from the electric company said, "You have to live in Alaska to have this kind of outage scenario."

This is a story of an overly ambitious eagle who evidently found a deer head. But the weighed down bird apparently failed to clear the transmission lines.

Just had to share...:)

Wow, I hadn't seen that but I've since found the story on our paper's Web site.

Weird stuff like that happens all the time up here. You just shake your head and wonder why humans ever tried to inhabit a place with so many animals.

I know, can Megan be more empathetic? She's worried about the cold people in Juneau. She's worried about the dead deer! You ought to give up on theater, Megan, and join the Peace Corps!

I think Megan should start the Peace Corps Theater!!

Does that mean that Eddie and Jack will be wearing tights now?! I may be wrong, but I think to avenge the creatures preyed upon by moose, you can't be afraid of the moose........

I can answer that too :)

Alaska is the type of place that when you live there you constantly wonder "why do I suffer with the cold, the moose, the tundra?"

then when you leave you wonder.........

"Why did I leave such a beautiful, amazing place?"

Now that is just a LOW BLOW! We're working on it, we're working on it. Baby steps.

He has really gotten neurotic lately over the moose. I can't even take him for a long evening walk any more because every shadow he sees is a moose!

Poor Eddie. Sissy says he can come and live with her, no moose here. He can avenge the creatures terrorized by the squirrels instead!! And send Jack, too. Angel says the more the merrier. Shes liking living with us!!
