I made my own Avatar!!
 
It took me all day yesterday...I put together a larger file that was too large to put up here and had to downsize the number of pics but it's finally done! :p

Please, tell me what you think...:p

Yeah, that's a terrific first effort! If you really want more pics, sometimes you can shrink the size of the avatar from 125 pixels to 100 or so, but I personally prefer the larger ones. Nice job.

That looks awesome!! I attempted to do one a few weeks back, but the program I was using seriously distorted the pictures when it shrunk them, so I gave up. What program did you use?

Use a program with a crop tool - if you know how to crop - you'll be able to delete much of the background and focus on the dog

I am no where as good as V, yours are awesome!!! :p But I am proud of myself :D It did take me over five hours to figure out how to make it but I finally found a cool site with what to download and another one how to paste and save the layers. It's fun & frustrating to do but rewarding once you learn, it's easy!!

Here are the two links I used for help...The first one is where I got the site for the pics and The GIMP program I used to create the avater.

Thanks to everyone for your compliments and advice. I will work on a new one and try to save the pics on a lower resolution, as you suggested and see what more I can do! :p This is fun!

Your avatar looks great!!! I tried to do it the with programs I found off here NO LUCK :confused: I would get the pictures rotating but the pictures looked funny I dunno it was just a big mess and I stayed up ALL NIGHT trying to do it!!! :mad: LOL......I will definetly look into this program though.....THANKS!!

Oh My Lord....:eek: I finally got something to work on animating my avatar. I COULD NOT have done it without previewing the past posts that Villette shared on this thread. I finally went into picresize and that worked great. This was by far the easiest way to change a photo to a gif. Now I just have to figure out how to add text and take some better pictures. My brain is in overload right now. Villette if you see this Thank you Thank you for all of your free tutoring.:thumbs up
