I tried in off topic but didnt get any answers.

I want to get a Sidekick 3, but i wanted to see if anyone can give me reviews on it if they have it or their friends like it. I want it mostly for iming, text and online and of course phone service but if anyone has it or had it what do you think about it? :confused:

My kids have played with the sidekick 2 and loved it. I used it for awhile and thought it was obnoxious. I mostly used it for phone purposes.

Boy am I out of the loop, I thought you where talking about a car :rolleyes:

If you google Sidekick 3 reviews you'll get sites like pcmag.com, or epinions.com
pcworld.com oe digitaltrends.com.... I know you were looking for a more personal review, but that's the best I can do:)

thanks i didnt even think of going to pcmag.com thanks for the info hopefully someone else will post on personal experience with the phone but in the mean time i will check these sites you gave me thanks bud.

i've actually had a lot of friends have problems with theirs.. sometimes it just restarts

I ended up returning mine within the 30 days. I did think the texting feature worked ok, but I would always get kicked out the im, ALWAYS. And I would have to restart it, blah blah blah. And the browser was pittiful. I'm glad I returned it. I don't think it was really worth it

What about the EN-V from verizon? I am looking at that for my next phone. It has IM and all that good stuff. I have a treo from verizon right now but kinda bulky!!

i dont have a yorkie yet so i feel like im no help to everyone else but i finally can answer this 1...

i had a sidekick 2 and upgraded to a sidekick 3.. the sidekick 3 is alot better than the sidekick 2 but it depends what you want... i love the any advanced phone to a regular.. im addicted.. the sidekick 3 is perfect for texting and any form of IMing.. it has its own email name @tmail.com and it has fast internet (not the fastest ive seen) the speaker phone isn't great but it works and the phone quality isn't amazing.. so if ur a bigger texter... like me.. its the perfect "phone"

my boyfriend has the mda.. which tmobile also has.. the only drawback is a sidekick is i think aroun 20 or 30 a month for all of its features.. an mda is 45... but it has windows on it.. the internet is alot faster.. it has a touchscreen.. n a much better quality phone.. but not so great with IMing (because you can't see away messages)... but u can make mp3s your ringtones.. the sidekick you have to pay for a ringtone and chose from a select few (very strict about that)... umm.. :) i can probably talk for hours about this but i think thats the basics..

i had a sidekick 2 and then traded it in for the sk3.

i ended up cancelling my service with t-mobile because i was very unhappy not only with the phone (it would restart and freeze sometimes), but whenever i needed to text or call someone.. i didn't have freakin service!

so .. i went back to verizon.. got my motorola q has not froze on me yet ;) (i've had it for about 5 months now).. and i use it for texting etc.. but the majority of my family and friends have verizon so that's why i went back as well. ;)

you can always go on www.amazon.com and check out the reviews.. that's what i did when i was trying to select the sidekick 3 or the mda.. but now i got the motorola q and am very happy with it despite some of the things they said (it freezes, i believe that was when it first came out and they fixed it).

My daughter's Christmas present was an EnV for our verizon service. She texts about 2500 msgs a month. She loves it. And she loves the camera features.

We have been reviewing this phone along with the blackjack, you can go to u tube and watch vids on what people thing or got to google and review it.

I think we have decided to get Blackjacks (hubby and I) our contracts can be renewed with cingular this month.
