Do I HAVE to drink Water? :confused: I asked this on another thread but no one answer ... I'm on Nutrasystem and your suppose to drink 8 glasses of water a day but I really don't like to drink water LIKE THAT. Is it ok if I drink Crystal Light all day instead???:( |
I would think that would work,since there is no caffiene. |
It should not be a problem. However, I am concerned about the artificial sweetener contained in it. It will rot your teeth if nothing else. I used to hate drinking water until I got home delivery of bottled water with a cooler. It's always the perfect temp and tastes so much better than what comes out of the tap. It was good enough to help me kick the soda and crystal light habits! |

The sweetner in Crystal Light is aspartame, and it is not good for you! It causes you to be MORE thirsty. Try just cutting up a lemon and putting it in your water. |

I would definitely not drink crystal light all day every day. Aspartame (the artifical sweetener in crystal light) causes 92 different illnesses including: Chronic Fatigue Syndrome Epstein-Barr Post-Polio Syndrome Lyme Disease Grave?s Disease Meniere?s Disease Alzheimer?s Disease ALS Epilepsy Multiple Sclerosis (MS) EMS Hypothyroidism Mercury sensitivity from Amalgam fillings Fibromyalgia Lupus non-Hodgkins Lymphoma Attention Deficit Disorder (ADD) Aspartame is also an addictive ingredient. Every once in a while it might be fine, but 8 glasses of water with crystal light every day is bad. I would just cut up lemons or oranges and put them in your water. You can make a large pitcher and add things like pineapple, cucumber (sounds gross, but it's good), lemons, oranges, or any other fruit that you like the flavor of. Things like pineapple and cucumber need to sit over night for the flavor to come out. |
At weight watcher we can only use 1 and count it as water. WAter is best. You will be amazed at how much it helps to loose the weight!!! |
Maybe you should alternate more. I think it's ok if your drink 16 oz of crystal light, and then water, and water with a hint of lemon, if that helps. Also, if you drink coffee or tea in the morning, or eat a soup at lunch, all that counts towards your water intake. Of couse, the more you drink the better, but the minimun of 8 cups of water includes all liquids you consume during the day. |
it was weight watchers who told me at least half of the 8 glasses needed to be water. The other half could be 0 calorie. I know it is hard but it does speed up the weight loss and it is very healthy :) |
