My sister and I were just discussing Sat how Starbucks are popping up all over this city. From 2004-06 Mobile only had 1. I love their Mocha, hot or iced!! But can't afford to do it often at all. I've tried immitating it, with no luck at all. |
My drink: Grande Vanilla Latte Non-fat with Whip -I get the Non-fat because I'm slightly lactose intolerant My in-laws gave me a $25 gift card for my birthday The closest one to me is 20minutes away so I only get one when I'm in the neighborhood of one, so usually on the weekend. Just a hint for all those trying to quit starbucks; coffee mate makes a creamer called Latte. It comes in vanilla & mocha, you add 3 scoops to regular coffee & it's supposed to taste like a latte. I would suggest adding some kind of sweetner, but other than that it's not too bad & cheaper then starbucks. |

I LOVE Starbucks! I love their plain coffee more than any other coffee. I love their white chocolate mocha, but haven't gotten one since I read the nutritional facts for it... eeek! I love their lattes and sometimes with a shot of vanilla. I also really like the carmel machiato (sp?). I also like the pumpkin spice lattes and I always steal sips from my sister's carmel apple cider- yumm! And I won't even talk about their cookies!! I think Starbuck is phenomenal! |

What part of TN are you moving to? According to Starbucks.com, there are over 100 retailers in TN. I know they are all over Knoxville. |

I love Starbucks also. :) But I don't like any hot drinks so I buy the Mocha Light Blend Frappuccino with no whipped cream. I try and get it with Soy Milk if they have it. It's a real treat for me. Can't afford to go there very often. Rudys Mom (Dawn):animal-pa |
Anyone have good Starbucks recipes that you make?? |
Back before I converted and stopped drinking coffee... I had two starbucks a day... Might explain why I was 267 pounds!!!! Ya think??? lol I would walk in and the sweet kids behind the counter would say.... "perecnt quad venti x-tra caramel Caramel Macchiato..." and I would just smile and pay! How sad is that??? No matter what time of day it was they knew! Most times the drink was ready before I got up to the register.... there was ALWAYS a line at this location.. But being that I was a manager at the Jewelry store in the shopping center, they all knew me very well. And I was always in a hurry... The line drove me nuts! Who was I trying to kid with the percent??? I bet they laughted their arses off after I walked out!!!! Percent!!! Please!!!!! "Give me a percent with EXTRA CARAMEL!!!!!" Whatever! I was such an idiot! Gosh! |
Did someone say Starbucks  ...uhhmm yummy...That sounds really good right now or should i say every day ...I love that place i should say its my 2nd home.lol..Were should i start with my list:confused: 1.Caramel Frap 2.Java Chip Frap 3.White Chocolate Frap or Hot 4.Vanilla Bean Frap 5.Chai Tea Latte 6.Strawberry Frap |
My favorite....there are 4 between my house and work and work is approx 10 min from home...My drink of choice is: Tall Sugar Free Vanilla Breve Latte...yumm I am trying to only go a few times a week instead of everyday, my husband goes everyday, sometimes twice. I think we just need to buy a latte machine, we could probley recoup our investment in 2 to 3 months...:D |
I am a MAJOR coffee addict, and it doesn't always have to be Starbucks. In fact, my favorite drinks come from Dunn Bros. Does anyone have one of those? No matter where I go, lattes are my favorite, especially caramel and white chocolate. Luckily I live way out of town, otherwise I would spend most of my money there. :D Since I'm addicted to caffeine, I've learned how to make some pretty good lattes and cappuccinos myself. Does anyone have an espresso machine? My favorite latte recipe of my own is to make a cappuccino with the espresso machine using skim milk, then when the milk is steamed I add a touch of brown sugar, a little chocolate or caramel syrup (like what you put on ice cream), a touch of vanilla, then mix it all together while still steaming hot and frothy. If you don't want to use the syrup, you can use a little hershey's unsweetened cocoa (like for baking). My hubby gets quite creative when he makes them by adding flavored coffee creamer or flavored hot cocoa powder to the steamed milk. There's all kinds of possibilities. ;) |
