My Son just wrecked his Truck.... My 18 year old son just came home from work today and on his way home hit a patch of ice and hit a tree. He is fine, just a few cuts and bruises. Thank God he had his seatbelt on, as did his friend he was taking home. We paid cash for his truck so we just have liability on it...the driver's door is smashed, the windshield is smashed, the dashboard is cracked...I saw it and couldn't believe he wasn't hurt! This is his first accident, not counting the scraped bumper on my car learning how to pull in the garage...I am so shaken up right now.... |

Thank God your son and his friend are both ok. My daughter is on her way back to college tonight driving. We had a dusting of snow and the news is saying some of the roads are slippery.:snow: I told her to call me when she gets there. Thank you for your kind words! I am just upset with this being his first accident. It has been so cold here and we have some ice on the roads, he works at Mt Rose our local ski resort and is supposed to start back to college tomorrow. Just bad timing....my husband is starting a new software business and his programmer has scammed us out of alot of money... long story...just have had enough for right now..the speech therapist told me my vocal cords are damaged from my thyroid surgery....I need a vacation....from my life...We'll be fine... What doesn't kill you makes you stronger... |
THANK GOD he is ok!! I'm really grateful that he's not hurt but I am very sorry about his truck!! All that matters is that he is ok and his friend of course. darn those ice patches!! so dangerous. I hope everthing works out. |

Thanks, I am fine, we all are. Just alot happened this week. My melt down was nothing a glass of wine and a jacuzzi bath couldn't cure and put in perspective! :D I am a firm believer in things happening for a reason...we have already found another programmer, who is much better then the first one. We are putting a lean against the jerk's house;we will recoup our money. My voice, well maybe I am supposed to stop and listen more who knows. My son's truck is totaled..not sure what that is, but time will tell. It always presents it's self when the time is right. We are all healthy and happy and a very close family, we have a lot to be thankful and grateful for. Thanks for listening to me vent! |
I am so thankful that he wasn't injured badly. He will probably be pretty sore for a few days. Hugs to you in all that you are dealing with right now! |

I'm sooooo glad he's ok! I bet your nerves are fried! Get in the tub as quick as you can! You deserve a break! It sounds like your having a pretty hard go of it lately.... I'm so glad your son is ok. You just never know, he was very lucky. I'm going thru the same thing with the liability only. My son ass ended an 18 wheeler in his Blazer last week and totaled his truck. Still very soar, big bruises and basically has to sew his ear back on but could have been so much worse. Could have lost my boy. Give yours an extra hug today, give thanks and count your blessings..I am. Wish we could be there 24-7 to protect them. Guess thats the price we pay for letting them grow up. |
OMG Michele! A mothers worst nightmare!! THANK GOD! your son is ok!! Sounds like you need another vacation! I hope your son is feeling better...Maybe you will end up with the Demi Moore voice!! Your hubby would like that! LOL! And as far as the programer..........what goes around comes around and it usually comes around harder! He will get his someday... If your sons truck is totaled,even though it isn't fully covered, he should get what the truck is (blue book) valued at. His deductible would be taken out first though.
