Locks of Love - I cut my hair for charity! 5 Attachment(s) Hello all! This, of course, is an off-topic post but it's VERY important to me in my life and I must share it with all of my YT friends! I have been contemplating this for a few months now, and finally decided to take the plunge. I have had long, long red hair all of my life, and have decided to donate nearly a foot of it to Locks of Love, a charity that makes wigs for kids with cancer. I was VERY scared and nervous...but it turned out great! What do you all think? (I've never had my hair this short before! Woohoo!!!) Have any of you ever donated your hair before? |
I like the new hair cut. I have never donated before but I should, I have long hair. I thinks that it is great that you did that! |

good for you. i'm an currently growing my hair out to donate to lock of love. i had long hair 2yrs ago and cut it off but didn't know about locks of love, wish i had though. so i decided that i'd just grow it out again. |
well done! That must have been sooo hard! How weird does it feel with short hair? I think that it is a wonderful thing that you have done, you have inspired me! My hair is also red but shorter than yours. When it is a bit longer, I will see if there is a simalr charity in the UK! WELL DONE!!!! |
My granddaughter is eight years old. She is getting 12 inches of her hair cut off on June 1 to donate also. I'm SO proud of her. What a wonderful thing for anyone to do! MY hair wouldn't grow twelve inches in twelve years! |
What you have done is the most heartwarming experience ever! You are giving something so special to someone and it brings tears to my eyes. That is a great thing you did. :) My husband had had long silky black hair since I had met him this year he cut it all off for locks of love I was so proud of him, I would do it to but don't know if they take hair that is dyed. Now his hair is really short and he still looks very sexy to me. (was like I was with a different man..lol) You hair isn't that short and it looks very pretty ;) just a great job and a nice warmng heart you have. |

Wow! :eek: You look hot, hot, hot! lol, That is so nice of you to donate that. Your hair looks pretty either way. My mom is a hair stylist and has her own salon and when someone comes in to chop of their long locks, she keeps it for them as well because they come by once a month! :p |
Awww.. that was so cool of you to do! I always think its nice when people do stuff like that! I would do it, but I've never had my hair nearly as long as yours! It grows too slow :( I think your new haircut is really cute too! It looks good on you, and it\'s still long! |
