Jewel was just a "guest" judge..........but I wonder, are they going to have other guest judges throughout the show? Paula was ALL over the news today. You know, she had to defend herself last season (or was it the season before that) because everyone claimed she was drunk all the time. Ummmm....she asks like it doesn't she? Who knows. It might be all an act. Simon was on Oprah this afternoon too. She asked if they just throw in those crazy people for ratings...he just had that look on his face and I can't remember what he said - I kind of think they do....... |
oh for sure,they are thrown in for ratings. How boring it would be if they didn't. I sometimes think Paula has MS. |
I'm watching it now and the Seattle auditions are so bad I honestly have to look away sometimes! I just feel so bad for these people! |

YIKES! Pretty scary today. lol. I feel kind of bad for them. You know they go through a round of judges before hand, who decide whether or not they get to go through to Paula, Randy, and Simon. So that just boosts their self esteem. So I always feel kind of bad. But what about that girl and her mom? Weirdos much? EDIT: and I seriously think there's something wrong with Paula. What is her problem? |

I love watching the talent but I feel horrible for these people who can't sing and want to so badly... They get laughed at by the judges to their face and behind their backs by every one watching. Some of these people feel really hurt as they walk away and I fell heart broken for them. They are told they are good by friends or family and then are shocked to hear they are awful by the judges. I can't Imagine how hurtful it must be. Simon told one guy he was weird looking like a bush baby and THAT was very uncalled for. :( |

I'm sorry, but I thought the bush baby comment was hilarious. Not so much because of the kid's looks, but more because that is the most random animal to think of. Sometimes I feel bad for the people, but then I think that they HAVE TO KNOW its gonna happen. It's been on for 5 other seasons now! |

It's hard not to feel for some of them as they look truly shocked and delusional after finding out they suck. It makes me wonder where they come from and what sheltered lives they must live? I also worry about their mental health after this rejection and when the shows air. Still love the auditions though and almost never watch the show after, its the best part. :2popkorn: |

My DH said " you would think after waiting in the line for days, they would actually be able to sing - who would wait in line that long if they couldn't sing"! - I think some know that they can't sing - it is jus their five minutes of fame on national tv. The mother/daughter - YIKES!!! The lack of a bra being present was the first thing we notice! EEK!! It is all good and stuff to express your own personal tastes, but come on!!! Last night was definitely the worst! BUT there were some good ones out of the group! I was impressed. They are going to Memphis next, right? There will be alot of good ones there. Simon even mentioned on Oprah the other day that the south has by far had the most people make it through then any other area. --I know they will have some freaks too! Can't wait to see how that one turns out! Oh, on Oprah yesterday, she asked Simon who he would have voted for (since he has mentioned several times about not liking Taylor Hicks) and he said Chris. |
I watched it the last couple of nights, what a hoot. I am looking forward to next weeks show. |

LOL I laughed so hard. I agree with jenn about the mother and daughter, yikes didn't quite cover it. I'm almost afraid to say I'm from the Puget Sound LOL. Sometimes I have a hard time watching I'm so embarrassed for those people. Where are their friends to say no dude, you can't sing, you are not going to do it. I think TV edits well though, they didn't need to show so many of the dorks or the judges being so mean. Some of those people were obviously challenged and had no idea. For people like that some harsh words could be devastating and detrimental. |
