In need of a digital camera ........Well, hubby bought me one for x-mas and I lost it somewhere at the Phoenix airport :( I have a horrible quality one at the moment and the pics are just :thumbdown I am looking for reviews/recommendations on a good quality camera. If possible no more than 300 dollars (I'm on a budget). What camera do you recommend? Thanks in advance  Jess |
I'm all for the Canon's! - Anyone of them are good. The one I want rarely gets below $800 and then you have the buy the lenses too! Whew! I have a CanonZR85 which is a video/still camera. I like it because it is small and I can be filming something and even snap a still shot while I am filming. We used it all the time when my daughter played sports and for her cheerleading/pom events. It doesn't have a flash though. It takes little tapes for the videos and a memory card for the pictures. You then, just use one cable and hook it straight into the computer to play your video, transfer to CD, view pictures, etc - super easy! If you can get a good Canon for under $300 that is great! I am sure they have some good ones out there? I don't know though? A friend gave my daughter a new Pentax Optio 50L camera last year. It is one that he uses (throws in a bag or in his back pocket) when he is travelling. It has a nice zoom and flash, a big view screen on the back and is easy to use. It is small too, so it fits in your pocket or purse, etc. I had never used that brand before, but it takes some great pictures! --I use it too now. I believe it is 5 mega pixel. That might be something to look at?! |
See the following thread that I started with the same question. I ended up with the Sony Cybershot and I love it, love it, love it! http://www.yorkietalk.com/forums/showthread.php?t=60418 |

Digital camera's are new to me. I got one for Christmas and it takes beautiful pictures and video's also. I asked for something simple. It's a Kodak easy share camera. It also has a built in video. It was easy to upload the pic to my computer as well. Cost $159.99 at BestBuy. You can see the quality of the pics in photo gallery under Buddy. Good luck with your search. Carol & Buddy:aimeeyork |
I love my Canon SD40. It's very small, 7.1 mp, and about the size of an iPOD Nano. The pictures are great and it's very easy to use. I love it and I got it from Walmart.com. The retail is $349 but Walmart is the only one who sells the Twilight Sepia color (because the camera comes in 4 colors) for $298.:D |

I have a Nikon CoolPix - love it - easy to use and takes great pix. I don't know much at all about digital cameras - this was the one recommended to us a year ago. |
