I signed! |
I signed it because of the condition of the pets I've seen in petland here. I hate to see any business go down, especially one that caters to our pets. Maybe the owners and operaters can be educated after these complaints. The company makes to much money not to sit down with reputable breeders with contracts for ex amount of healthy puppies. Instead they deal with puppy mills or any joeblow mating dogs. These people are selling unhealthy pets because they don't know any better. The store owners may not know any better either.:thumbdown |
I've signed every petition I can find about Petland - I don't know how much good they do but I signed -the other thing you can do is write your congresspeople |
I signed it. I have heard a lot of bad reports about Petland. The one that was in our area closed a couple of years ago and I haven't seen it back. I think this is a good idea. |

My baby is from the other Petland in town, but they are owned by the same idiot! My blood boils everytime I hear the name Petland. I look at my baby and wonder what all she went through... and I know that there are things that happened before we got her. She will not go under any covers! She didn't know how or want to eat. She still isn't a good eater. There's just so many things that have come up since I've been on here and learned about "puppy mills, brokers and stores". They are making money off of our "LOVE" - and I for one resent it! Thank You to everyone who has signed and to those that will. |

I've signed this quote a few times - it can't hurt to email this around either - you never know who MAY Be paying attention, have a big heart AND have the power to help these poor dogs.....if petland is banned from selling live animals - maybe the mass producing in puppy mills will slow down The Petland in Sugar Land Tx SUCKED. It's a wealthy part of town and I swear - I walked out of it crying the first time I was there |
My fiance and I go into Petland every Thursday after we eat dinner at a nearby resturant for "Puppy Time" to tie us over until we get to bring Keely home. We were assured by an associate that these dogs did not come from puppy mills. But after you think about it, it kinda made sense that they do. Every week there are only two or three dogs that were there the week before out of the original 40 or so. Whichs makes you think where are they getting all of these new dogs so quickly. Also what struck me as odd was every employee there treated us with respect and kindness until we mentioned that we had already bought our dog from a breeder and wasn't buying one from them. Since then they have been rude and cocky toward us when we go in there. If they were true pet lovers they would be happy that we did get a dog regardless if we got it from them or some place else, but as many have stated they are in it just for the money. When asked why their dogs were so highly priced over one's we've seen from home breeders they said "its because they are microchiped for their protection." After doing a small bit of research we found out that microchipping only costs about $20-$30 depending on where you go. They were marking up these puppies upwards to $400 more for a chip that costs $30 bucks. Thats messed up! The dogs they have are always so hyper and you go and sit in the little room with them and they are jumping all over the place and acting crazy. When we went and visited Keely today her and her siblings were perfectly calm until we started to play around with them and they got really excited, but not crazy shaking running around frantic like the ones at Petland. I guess thats the difference between a good breeder and a puppy store. I signed your petition and I'll be forwarding it to people that I know.:) |
