Kathryn - Did you have problems from all the acid in the lemonade? --like w/ acid reflux, heartburn, acid sores, stomache problems, etc? I'm just curious, since lemonade (especially that much for a long time) is so acidy. |

The Master Cleanser gives several options for "cleansing" your system. One is a laxative herbal tea. I chose Smooth Move herbal tea in chocolate flavor. One of the other options is an Internal Salt Water Bath. That is one quart luke-warm water and 2 level teaspoons of uniodized Sea Salt. Not ordinary iodized table salt. I have HBP and was concerned about the salt absorbtion. Also, for me the Dark Maple Syrup & cayenne pepper seemed to neutralize the acid in the lemon juice. |
NOT AT ALL! And I have major issues with extreme foods, such as spicy and acid, and heavy dairy... but but by day three I was doubling the pepper in my lemonaid! and by day six I was using a half a teaspoon, not a tenth! it tasted sooo good! and its a serious blood cleanser! and NOT ONCE! did it ever upset my stomach or bowels... I was totally fine! All this talk is making me want to do it again! It would be just the thing to get me back on track after being "off the wagon" for the past few months.... I have been eating not so good for a while... but I have kept loosing, cause my not so good is still amazingly well compared to most. Just not as good as I'd like it to be... Hmmmmmmm Maybe I need to get all of this junk out of me... the M&M's alone that I have consumed are reason enough to do this fast! I have had enough procedded candy to line a football field! Its my one true weakness! Ok... thats it! I'm going to do it! I just talked myself into it! But not till after my birthday dinner on monday! I'm NOT missing that! I'm scarfing SUSHI till my Eyes POP OUT OF MY HEAD! K So as Promised... lol I weigh... one day late... 156 this afternoon! UGH... I should have weighed this morning! I had lunch and a ton of water! lol And I'm fully dressed, in jeans! They weigh a ton! lol YES! I exhale and suck it in when I step on the scale! Oh boo! You know you do too! You just won't admitt it in public... you get on the scale naked! We all do! Heck... I take my glasses off! lol And my watch too! he he he |
Salt Water flush Dr. David O. Young, author of pH Miracle Diet talks a lot about doing this type of flush in the morning but drinking an 8 oz glass of purified water and 2 ts of sea salt. After drinking this sea water (ugh) you'll need to quench your thirst with at least a liter or two of purified water. I tried it and boy! it gives your intestines a REAL workout without the aid of herbal laxatives. If anyone decides to do this, I'd give yourself at least three hours before leaving the house. It does wonders for your skin. Similar to colonics but costs $60 less. |
oh... Lemon... it does not even taste sharp... not at all teh way homemade lemonaide tastes... you know all pucker up! Its totally mellow, even with all that FRESH lemon juice in it! Its amazing how really ballanced the whole thing is! |
Y'all are making me want to do this so bad! We are building a new house and will be moving in 2 weeks and I am a total stress eater. I have been feeling like such a sluggish pig from the junk I've been shoving in my mouth. I don't think I could deal with it right now though (stress  ) but in about a month I should be moved and settled in and be ready to go. If anyone thinks they'd be interested in doing the cleanse about a month from now, I think it would be so cool to do it with someone else. |

Its really not as hard as it seems, I did not feel hungry at all and did not miss the bloated feeling after you eat. |

Of course. :) My doctor recommended it.............I swear by it ;) http://www.drnatura.com/?ovchn=GGL&o...tura&ovtac=PPC |

Yay! I'll post when things settle down. Maybe rather than waiting until I'm unpacked, it would make more sense to start right after the move since I will be busy unpacking and painting and not so focused on food. You really don't feel tired during the cleanse? |

I really think I am ready to try this...The way I see it, it surely can't hurt to give it a try. I bought everything but the syrup yesterday....On a tight budget :( I can't find the syrup anywhere near here...I checked the "nature" store and they do carry it, but don't know when they will get it back in. I really don't have the money to order it online right now...Atleast not at the prices I saw...and I don't get paid until Friday BLAH Sheesh what is the average cost that is paid for those of you that have done this before? What types of stores have you bought it in? Have any of you tried an off the shelf syrup? I'm dissapointed that I can't start today.....I really wanted to get rolling with it.:( |

I felt great on the cleanse, better than I usually do eating all this food. |

I have seen it in the odd grocery store, it does at first seem expensive to get all the stuff but it works out as you are spending less on food. Way to go and good luck! :) |
They have Grade A at Costco and Waldbaums - if that helps...:) |

We don't have either of those store :( |

I am so excited too . I've been reading the Master Cleanse forum this morning and I am so pumped! As I was reading, it hit me- duh Nikki, you're a smoker. Talk about toxins. So I was reading that nicotine withdrawal symptoms are similar to the symptoms you get at the beginning of the cleanse so why not just deal with it all at once. Sooo, I'm going to go ahead and try to eliminate caffeine which I live off of so I wont be dealing with caffeine withdrawal too and then right after the move I am going to start the cleanse and quit smoking. God help my poor family!:p Honestly, I'm pretty good with giving up food but giving up caffeine, cigarettes and wine will be a killer. When are you moving? |

Its gotta be grade B syrup! When are we starting??? I have to plan and start with you guys... lets all pick a day and start together! That way we are on the same day together! Sound good??? I have everything BUT the lemons.... But you have to drink the Tea the night before you start.... Soooo we need to plan! And I would really like to start the same time as someone... so who wants to buddy up with me?? or can we all buddy up together??;) |

We are really lucky that we bought when we did... the cost of housing has doubled in price here in the last year and a half. If we waited another 6 months to buy we would have a very tiny house for what we paid for our larger totally finished one. The house isn't even finished and we have gained over $300 000 in equity in it. |

Kathryn, do you think you would be willing to wait a few weeks? I totally understand if not but it would be so awesome to have a big group and I really need to tackle one thing at a time. Eliminate caffeine and moving then cleanse and stop smoking (and wine darn it!). Well if y'all start ahead of me, I'll just have to jump in late. I am really excited about it! |
I'm ready when anyone's ready... I'll start whenever! lol I just need to do another run.... Who else is going for it??? I'm going to do 21 days though, not the 10... NOT THAT I WANT ANYONE ELSE DOING 21 WITH ME.... I just want to do the first week with others... its fun to start and have people to bounce off of! Especially if you a first timer! ;) I can totally wait, if your going to do it! lol |
As soon as the Celetic Light Grey Sea Salt comes in...then Me and Hubby are ready. Can you get Grade B at Trader Joes??? My brother in law said, Grade A is good to lose more weight, but B is better in minerals, etc.. |
Quote:
I will do 21 days with you....the only thing is, is it ok since this is my first time doing it? Also is it okay to exercise while I'm on the diet? One more question....where do I start? How much is it to get everything and what do I need? |
Ok I just checked on the website all of the products but what do you reccommend for me to buy as this is my first time? Anyone? |
The booklet!!! You have to have the booklet written by Stanley B. And as far as the syrup...... The only reason you use the Grade B over the A is because of the Mineral Content..... You are relying on this Mixture to FEED and clean your body for 10+ days! Why deprive it of those Minerals??? You will not loose more weight by taking away from yourself... If you cut the syrup in half, you won't loose more weight! I promise! You will need those few calories you get, I have watched people play with the mixture in hopes of turning it into a "diet" and all they manage to do is deplete themselves... What ends up happening is they end up weak half way through as a result. The mixture is a perfect balance. It keeps you going! It is designed to give you what your body needs to cleanse. And if you monkey around with it you are not going to get the full benefit! So my best advice to anyone is: DO IT TO THE LETTER! Dont skip a thing! Don't take short cuts! Don't change anything! It works best the way it is, you don't need to improve on it! My Aunt Betty does not have a better way to do it nor does yours. Its perfect the way it is. Do it to the letter for ten days.... you'll see the results! You will feel better.... And no, 5, 7 or 8 is not just as good as 10 ;) If your going to do the SWF (salt water flush) use the light grey celtic sea salt. and I reccomend the smooth move tea, its a senna blend and not as harsh as a pure senna tea... a pure senna tea will cause super killer cramps... you'll wish you were dead if you brew it a second too long! lol A good insulated 32 oz bottle is enough to mix 3 servings in... and mixing them fresh is the best... if you mix them in big batches they aren't fresh and the lemon is not as "Active" So I would mix it 3 servings at a time. Plus... And if you are a slow drinker... I would be careful.. the pepper gets hotter as it sits in the liquid... this is only an issue for the first two days... after that you'll hardly taste the pepper... but that first day, you will, so don't let it stew... ;) And don't forget to drink plenty of water on top of the lemonade! You need the water too! K |
Can you exercise??? Heck yeah.... Runners still do 5 and 10 miles a day while cleansing on this... Its amazing... My mother... How I just don't know... just dod 29 days and she works 5 days a week, she is 56 years old. She goes up and down stairs all day ushering clients all over the place. She never felt drained, in fact, she was the only one at work glowing and bouncing around! lol She had more energy than the rest of her coworkers did! She really wanted to keep going she felt so good! But had lost so much weight it was problematic for her work wardrobe, so she had to break her fast. She still had to go shopping though. Poor mom:rolleyes: She has been doing them since I was a child. Same booklet! Same fast... Always by the book! |
I just found this funny link. http://yestheyrefake.net/lemonade_di...se_journal.htm It is a woman's journal of her 13 days on the cleanse. It really makes me want to start! The laxative stories are a little scary though. |
Well I can tell you where she went wrong with her tea..... lol She was either using too little water or brewing it too long. either way, it was coming out WAY TO STRONG for her body! everyone is different. You should feel slight cramping, like a grumble... not CRAMPS! Know what I mean? Just cut the brewing time down... and do time it! Cause once you get a time that is right for you... stick to it! And I really suggest you do it at night! Heres why: The tea and SWF act like a washing machine... the tea is the agitator; it makes your insides spasm while your sleeping, massaging the junk loose from the walls. And the Salt Water Flush in the morning is the Rinse Cycle! You'll get up, eliminate, and then drink your SWF, and rinse out the junk left behind... You'll do this every day! And you'll be amazed how after not eating 10 days... your STILL so full of JUNK! And seriously... after 21 days.... you still are releasing JUNK! you have so much crap built up inside you! clinging to the walls of your insides... its no wonder we are vitamin deficient... we cant even absorb anything... we are totally clogged up! TMI??? So just play with the strength of the Lax tea so your not doubled over cursing it! |

He he- that makes me feel better. My husband is going to do it with me and I was getting a little worried for him since he has to go to work in the morning. It certainly isn't the most usual topic of discusion but in this case I don't think there's anything that I would consider TMI. I want to know everything!:p |
