My Sons Opinion on Smilies So my son is home from college and he likes to make fun of me for being on YT all the time...whatever..:rolleyes: So anyhow, he is always looking over my shoulder as I type (he is sooooo nosy) and he was telling me that only "NEWBIES use smilies, MOM!!" I love the smilies!! But now he is making me feel self conscious for using them :mad: GEEEEEZZZZ!! |

Well. I Personally like silly smilies. Let your son use smilies have fun with them here!! Smilies are a young thing? These people are not hip, smart and cool? Well. We are smart cool and hip. But we never tell anyone. Cause we dont like it. |

oh jeez. I always use smilies!! I guess because it's hard to read what mood people are typing in, so it clears up if it's a joke or if they're being serious. :p (<---and I'm just addicted to that one) |

What do college kids know anyway. The best part of growing up is the freedom to express yourself without worry of what someone else might think. One here it's then NEWBIES that don't use smilies because they haven't figured out how. :p :p :p :p |

Well, as of this morning he is gone back to school and I sure will miss the nosy, opinionated little bugger!! Of course, now I have my computer back to myself with all my settings on it back to MY preferences:p I told him about this thread and he read it before he left (I think I embarrassed him too :D ) and he says, get this... "Well, I guess the Gaming Force forum that I am on we are just more jaded and cynical" It was all I could do to not just laugh out loud at him. I sure am gonna miss him :rolleyes: |
Tell your son that most "newbies" don't find the additional smilies for a while!!! |
