My breast biopsy results... I got my results last night and I'm happy to report that I do NOT have breast cancer. The Dr. did say that I have atypical cell activity which puts me at a high risk of developing breast cancer though. :( My head is spinning and I'm a little confused. I'm seeing the Dr. tomorrow so I'll find out what this all means in detail and what I need to do. Thanks for listening. |
well thats wonderful news! |
Carolyn, what wonderful news! You must have been through hell and back waiting for the results. Go out and party. Carol & Buddy:aimeeyork |
ALL RIGHT !!! I KNEW YOU WERE GOING TO BE OK !!! YAY !! I wish I could hug you !! You must be so relieved and you now have that HUGE dark cloud gone from your sky - whatever the doc says tommorrow will be for future consideration but the important thing is you do NOT have Cancer !! I'm SO happy for you !! Whew....big sigh of relief and I bet you hugged that Brutus like there was no tommorrow.....(Bad choice of words but you know what I mean) All the best to you and go celebrate with your husband - that's big news girlfriend !! |
I'm so thrilled to hear your good news! As for being high risk for developing breast cancer...I hate the way doctors put that fear into people! Just focus on the good news and try not to worry about what else he said. Many women at high risk never have a problem! Big hugs and thanks for sharing your happy news!!! What a load off your mind!!! |
Yay! That is GREAT news! Keep us posted!!! |
well thank god your going to be ok... |
This is an excellent news . |
Thanks guys! The Dr. did put a lot of fear in me! I was thinking about it though and maybe it means I will be monitored more often. Which is fine with me! The thought of getting these stitches taken out tomorrow has me more stressed than anything! There's like saran wrap covering the incision and I'm wondering how he's going to get that off without taking skin and half my left breast with it! Well if you think you hear anything at 1:15 est. tomorrow that'll just be me screaming at the top of my lungs! |
That is GREAT news. |
I am sooo glad to hear those results minus the atypical cell activity. Hon, at 21 I was diagnosed with atypical cell activity in my uterus too. I got a colposcopy and then a biopsy that confirmed it. I too have a high risk of uterine/ovarian cancer.............but so is half of the other women and they don't know it. Be happy that it's just a risk. Good health and lifestyle habits will be in your favor. I live life like it's my last..............I still think I'll live to see 99!:D |
That is really good news! I can imagine how scared you were. Be sure to keep on top of it with regular mammograms etc. Let us know what the doctor says. Sending good thoughts and prayers your way. |
Great News!!! |
fantastic news!!!!!!!!! |
That's good let us know what all this exactly means! I am also at high risk for getting Breast Cancer, I have to be checked every year with ultra sound when I hit 35 they will start with mamograms. And of course I self check every month!! |
