Is your fiancee out now? My moms been doing care packages when the war started, so I think I'm going to be sending my friend those too. |

Hi, yes my fiancee is out now :D Those care packages are great  I'm sure your friend and anyone else will be so thankful. Your friend's lucky to have you in his life and we're all lucky to have men like him on this earth ;) We will keep him in our prayers :) |
One more Soldier please... Quote:
When I posted this I only posted about my friend Bart because I just got back home from partying with him on his last night here. But my cousin, Ricky, is also going to Iraq next month for his third tour. So if you guys could, please pray for Ricky too, it would also mean the world to me. He has a wife and kids that he needs to make it back home safely too. Thanks in advance. All of you are soo great! Maybe we can all post about our loved ones over seas on here and just make it a prayer thread. It seems a lot of us have close ones over there. |
Prayers going out and tell him thank you for serving our country. |
I pray for our soldiers everyday but will add yours to the list. My nephew is in the unit that went into Baghdad first at the beginning of this war...he's lived through some awful things. He's completed 2 tours already and I have no idea when he could go back again. He's changed...some good and some not so good...so be ready for that. I have another nephew-in-law who is in the air force...he works on the planes. Actually, I have several family members in the service and my niece just joined the National Guard. As for the care packages...be sure to always send a roll or two of toilet paper! My nephew said they have it there but you can still see the wood chunks in it!! Oh, when I send things I always put them in zip lock baggies...there's a lot of sand over there and it gets into everything...so the baggies give them something to store their stuff in. My nephew said it actually rained mud from the sky...the wind before a storm would blow up the dust and then the rain would catch it in the air and it would fall as mud. Lovely, huh? |

Your family sounds like my family. There's a few in my family whose been in the service, not a lot, but atleast enough to know what military life is like! Hopefully your nephew won't have to go back. Thanks for praying! |
always praying for all the soldiers who risk their life every day for our freedom. Give him our thanks. They do an awesome job and are so important in our everyday lives. Thank you to all soldiers and families of those who have to go through such ruff times so we can be free and carry on our normal lives.:usastar: :usastar: :usastar: |
