Anyone Own an Online Business here? Have tons of ??? Any suggestions from anyone that owns an online business would be greatly appreciated. I would like to create a website for selling Spanish (Puerto Rican food) products my husband is the best cook in the world! LOL! and he makes something called pasteles (kind of like a Tamale) but different, hard to explain if your not Puerto Rican (No offense to anyone) but he also makes (pastelillos which is kind of like a beef pattie in some places they are also called Empanadas with several different types of filling. Anyways, I want to create a website and wondered for those of you who have one, can you give me details on how and how much does it cost to make one, Did you make it on you own? is it something possibly that I can do? How do you link to other website. Basically I need to know everything LOL! I'm computer literate but have no clue as to how to create one. We are in the process of building are "own" home and we are definetly going to need this extra income. Thanks and sorry it's sooo long:) |
My hubby made my online website but he did some programming and is actually attached to my comcast services so there is NO EXTRA FEE to pay. It has however some limitations to what it can do but I guess I cannot complain since he does all the work and it seems to work well (for now) with all my customers. Wishing you tons of luck on this new adventure you are about to take:thumbup: |
YUM YUM YUM !!! some of my favorite foods - Go Daddy is one I'm considering to sell my Custom Dog labels on - I heard it's cheap AND easy - The one I used back when I did a Business site is called Register.com - that was awesome to work with but at the time it didn't allow thumbnail pictures - they may have that feature now though - that was my only complaint - it ran about 200 a year including domain registration |

Villette, I have go daddy and it can be cheap UNLESS you add a shopping cart to it--that's where all of the expenses increase. Also it has some limitations re: what you can do with your shopping cart. Before committing to go daddy, pm sassypup. She said that she uses aloha cart (http://www.alohacart.com/demo.htm). She said that it's user friendly, affordable, and compatibale with paypal. She also said that they offer a demo before you commit. It might me a better option. She'd have more info about it. |
Thanks guys for the suggestions, I'll look into some of those..........;) |
ohhhh man I love paetelles!!!! LEt me know when your site is up and running lol!!!! |
