AB exercise ball anyone know the name??
 
i just saw a commercial for a ab ball that goes behind your back i really want it but i forgot the name anyone have any idea of what its called ?

I don't know the name or product that you are referring to.

But if you're referring to a yoga ball, any one will do.
I have this one, the 55cm one.

I have the Core Secrets System - it has the ball, etc. It is by Gunner Petterson. We like it!

Walmart sells those exercise balls in 2 different sizes. They are probably cheaper than ordering online. You'd have to get the correct one based on your height

My FIL bought two at Wal-Mart awhile back - they were $16-20 each. One has the nubbies (spikey) and the other is small. He got the bigger ones because his chiropractor (sp?) told him to use those for his back. Well, I don't think he ever used them. So, he spent about $40 on something that he will more than likely never use. I can't remember what I paid for the core system that we got, but it came w/ several DVD's, excercise instruction cards, etc. --but it wasn't very much! I think we actually got it for $20!

I use my yoga ball to do 500 crunches on every other day and it has done WONDERS for my stomach. I would definitly reccomend it!

Villette-I don't think the ball is necessarily an accident waiting to happen but it can seem a bit awkward if you're not used to it. It's good for strengthening your core. I like my exercise ball. I used to use it a lot and I have a a few DVDs that have "ball workouts" but I've been doing more strict pt strengthening workouts and stretches since I injured my back.

Jenn218-I already had DVDs and other equipment so I only needed the ball--and it was a replacement ball since I gave mine away--so it was cheaper for me to buy just the ball. BUT that's a pretty good price if you need all that other stuff :thumbup:

its not a regular medicine ball
i wish i could explain it
it comes with 2 dvds one for abs one for something else
its either blue or green cant remember and i believe it had a Flat bottom
it was made for abs

The ones that are flat and sort of like a half ball are called Bosu. They're great for a variety of work outs - I use one at the gym for squats (great butt/leg workout).

For the regular ball, there are soooo many different exercises you can do. I know the Canadian Women's Olympic hockey team had a full workout using the ball. Challenging but very good.

My mom is really short--she's 4'11". I don't live close to my parents but I tease her whenever I see her. I tell her that it looks like she's shrinking :p and she'll proudly say, "no, I just went to the doctor and I'm still 4'11". She always says that good things come in small packages ;)

You can get one of the balls for around 19.99. I have one and my daughter does too. They are great. Crunches are alot better on them. They sell them at just about any sporting good place, walmart, target, etc. There is alot you can do on them. Now if I'd just do it...lol I've been on ww for almost a month an have lost 16.4lbs so I need to start working out too. I'll use the ball a couple times a week. It's not so hard on your back. I'm always afraid, I'm gonna be doing the exercises and my ball is going to pop and I'll be on the floor...lol
