Major Announcement!!!
 

OK...so I don't have everything in place yet, but I'm so excited I couldn't wait to tell you!!

Sadie and I love the blankets that we have gotten from Kristin. They're so wonderful! My mom made a huge one for my brother's lab for Christmas & had a blast making it. So she and I decided to start making them and selling them on ebay. I was not going to sell them here on YT because I know Kristin and was not going to compete with her here. But last week when Kristin announced that she was closing her business, we started talking about changing our plan.

I'm going to officially start a business and make and sell blankets! I'm so excited I can't even tell you. I don't really have all the details yet. I'm going this weekend to start buying the fabric so that I can start making them and getting pictures taken. I'm in the process of getting a website done, too. I'll post that address and everything when I have it. The thing I don't have yet is a name...still working on that part (suggestions are welcome!)

I should say that we're not only going to be making the smaller blankets, we're going to make ones for larger dogs, too. So look for that, too!

I'm sooooo excited about this (but you can't tell, right? ;) ) I hope to have all the details VERY soon. I just couldn't wait to tell everyone here at YT!! And I've talked to Kristin and she is being so supportive of my venture. She really is a wonderful person, and while I'm excited about starting my business, I'm sad to see hers go!

Rutro.... I'm in trouble! :p I am totally addicted to Kristin's blankets. I literally have 12 of them (and have given a few as gifts). And with bigger sizes... Oh no!!! :eek:

I know what you mean, Im an absolute blanket addict but my girls only have 6, lol. Im sure we are going to be adding a bunch more to thier collection. I love these fleece balnkets because they are so perfect for traveling and I also like to stick them on the girls beds so I can just wash the blanket instead of wearing out the beds by having to constantly wash them :thumbup:

Hmm, I wonder if the blankets for the "larger dogs" will be perfect size for me? here's hoping right! I pull the 2 that I have out for my dogs and I put it on me - I'd love to get one large enough for me. :D

:D I do the same thing with Sadie's!! We fight over them! ;) Just kidding. But we do try to snuggle in them together. My mom said the larger one she made for my brother's dog for Christmas was 36x57, so they're pretty big! (he's got a big ol black lab)

I went and got some fleece this weekend. I LOVE the prints I got. I hope to get my web site up soon. And I will just as soon as I do one thing first....I'm still struggling to come up with a name. :confused: It's just not coming to me. I want something that incorporates Sadie's name, but can't think of anything I REALLY like.

Best of Luck to you. I make these blankets too, I got lucky and I sell them at the grooming shop/ pet boutique I work at. I also donate my imperfect ones to the local shelter. I have a ton of them here and my dogs love them, even the cat loves them :)

My daughter makes them for us humans. SHe uses 2 yards of material and they are a great size.!

I'm also making ones for "big dogs". I'm keeping one for myself because it's a great size for people and big dogs.
