Reviews on the Jack LaLanne's juicer/blender Has anyone used this, bought it, tried it? I have seen the infomercial on it several times and it looks pretty interesting....I think it is $150, but didn't know if it was worth it. Please share if you have used it or what you have heard about it. |
My sister has it and loves it. She's a runner and makes all of her own juice. I have a Juiceman Jr and a Hamilton Beach. I would love the Jack but have to wear out the other 2 first. |

Hubby and I have one - we've had it for a while and LOVE IT! Although I will be honest....we don't use it very often, LOL. So I guess I should have said, we love it WHEN we use it, lol. BUT - I will say that it is a VERY good juicer. It puts out ALOT of juice and I like the fact that it has a wide opening/mouth so that you don't have to cut up (most) fruits and vegetables. It's very weighty and solid - not cheap and light weight like some of them on the market today. I would say that if you are going to use it OFTEN, it is worth EVERY penny! P.S.- It does take about a MONTH or MORE for it to come in after you order it though - I ended up calling them a couple of times because I didn't think we were EVER going to get it! And be prepared, because if you DO end up calling and ordering it - the operator is going to try and sell you every recipe book known to man that they carry (and everything in between) - LOL  |

after making the first drink (which turned out green).. it turned me off .... I cleaned it up nicely and regifted it to my hairdresser ... I'm not telling you to NOT buy it, but be forewarned, it is BIG and you need a place to store it, b/c chances are you won't use it a lot. However, this is just my opinion .... let me know what you do ... but check eBay first! |

I got it for my dad on fatherday last yr. He LOVES IT! But I only paid 99.00 for it at target. If you love juicing and you plane to use it often, then the money is worth it! |

I didn't know Target had them - wow! I am glad I am going there later - I will have to check that out too! Thanks everyone! I have bought several things that looked good and then I ended up not liking them at all - or just not using them. So, I wanted to get opinions on this one. |
I don't have the Jack LaLane juicer, but I did buy a juicer last year on Ebay. I used it for about 6 weeks and then put it away cause it takes up lots of counter space. But, I just pulled it back out and am using it again. I don't do the veggies though cause I have yet to find a recipe that I can live with. I do fruits every morning; a huge pineapple slice, an orange, 1/2 a lemon, 1/2 a lime, 1/2 a kiwi and a handful of strawberries and blackberries. Tons of antioxidants and fiber!!!!! |

On the commercial, they put everything in the blender - whole fruits, etc - and everything tastes good - I often wondered how they REALLY taste! |

If you buy the Lalanne Juicer, it should come with a little recipe book inside. THe one I got for my dad, at target did. Also Target online has a book that has recipes for a juicer... I think its like 10 something... |
With my juicer, it only does juicing, not blending. You also put the whole fruit into the chamber and it spits out only the waste products (seeds, and the outer rind, etc.). Everything else gets pulverized into the juice, only there isn't any pulp. It makes the juice very frothy. I also don't add any sweetener, so it is a little on the sour side (but I like sour). Hard to describe the taste. A friend who is a very picky eater likes it, but I did just oranges one time for breakfast and my family wouldn't drink it cause they said it tasted gross. Obviously, you are getting very fresh, unprocessed stuff when you drink the juice. Much of the inner rind gets pulverized into the juice, so you are getting lots of fiber as well. It is very different from just drinking a glass of juice. |
