New Year Celebration Gun Shots! It's 11:45 in Southern California... I live in a decent neighborhood but there is a small area near by with some questionable people who are probably not living here legally... Anyhow, it's not mid-night yet and I'm hearing gun shots! Don't worry, my TV is on very low and it sound far away... Why do people do that??? Don't they know basic laws of physics? - Sigh... One of my resolutions is to stop using profanity so I have 10 minutes to let it rip! For those of you who already welcomed the New Year, "HAPPY NEW YEAR!" PS: It's the year of the Boar |

It's not yet midnight here, and I'm really dreading the fireworks. They always upset Eddie! Speaking of midnight, looks like it's turning 12:00 in CA. Happy New Year, CA! |

You know, I thought you were in the same time zone as us... Are you an hour behind? |
I had mentioned this in one of my posts - my area was doing the same thing and I can so tell gunshots from fireworks - when I heard that little semi auto pop pop pop ...that's when I came in. People are SO stupid firing guns - what goes up must come down. |
Glad the folks on the street behind me aren't the only ones that do that on New Years Eve. I know I heard 3 different types of guns coming from the street behind me, and I too, know the difference between gunfire and fireworks. I suppose AL isn't the only states with idiots. Maybe they think somone is up there with a catchers mit, catching bullets? |
Idiots. When someone gets plunked in the head with a little lead bullett maybe they'll learn. |
i love in cali also but at around 10:30 they were at it around here, i wsnt to close but close enough to be heard plainly. i dont know why they do it but is hard on the ones who have to go to work at 4 in the morn. like my hubby did. |

I heard you can die from a falling bullet - or did I see that in a movie...? Yeah movie, "The Mexican" with Brad Pitt. I'm pretty sure that's where I saw it. |
