Introducing LupusTalk.com - Our Sister Site! Our new sister site, Lupus Talk, is now up and running! Please excuse the Off Topic post and the Sticky. ;) Lupus (SLE) is an autoimmune disease that can affect any system in one's body. Basically, the body attacks its own cells and tissues, which can cause inflammation, pain, and possible organ damage. Ninety percent of people with lupus are women. Over ONE MILLION Americans are currently living with lupus. Speaking with many YorkieTalk members, it seems that many know someone (be it an aunt, sister, or friend) that suffers from lupus. Please invite them to LupusTalk, we hope create a friendly Lupus Community for patients and family, just as we have done for Yorkies here. We started LupusTalk because we have several family members and close personal friends with lupus. How heartwarming, thank you. Just over dinner tonight Robert was telling me about a very dear friend of his, Carol who suffers from Lupus. I will be sure to call her to tell her of this site. |
Much luck with your new site - I know you can comfort many sufferers of Lupus....I'm married to a man with a terminal illness (NOT Lupus) and know how much the forum for his disease helped me understand...it answered many questions I never got answered by his doctors and people are so caring and understanding you can't help but feel NOT alone. My sister has suffered from Lupus for over 20 years and in November was hospitalized for the first time. Since then we have seen a serious deterioration of her health. As you can imagine, my family is about at our wits end trying to get some answers. I will definately check out the site and will refer my sister to it. You have meant so much to us at YT, I'm sure that the lupustalk site will impact the lives of many others. I knew God had a reason for me to find YT!! Thanks and God Bless! |
Congratulations on the launching of the new forum! And for such a worthy cause too! You are to be commended. You do such a great job with Yorkie Talk. I am sure the lupus site will be a trememdous benefit to many. Congratulations! |

Thank you so much! My daughter who is 37 has it and it has attacked her blood vessel system. She gets vasculitis a lot and it worries me to death. Will certainly send her the sight! Thanks again! Pat |
