Please say a prayer for us today .... ... as we try to get back to Colorado!! Looks like there could be another blizzard in Denver! Our flight from Birmingham to Denver doesn't leave until 2 this afternoon and from Denver we will take another to Grand Junction where we arrive around 6:30. If we can just make it to GJ, we left our Jeep at the airport there and since it's 4WD, we can drive the 50 miles OK. Even if we have to stay over in GJ for a couple of days, that's OK ... geez, I just hate this!! :( Everyone who wants snow ... although it's beautiful, it certainly has it's bad points!! Just please remember us as we travel today! |

Sending you our best! I know how miserable traveling can be in conditions like that. Here's hopoing you're home and safe before New Year's. |
Snow is very pretty, but it sure can have it's bad points like you said. We will be thinking of you! Go well, and stay safe ;) |
You'll be in my thoughts . |
I am envious. I have a condo in Breckenridge CO and I haven't been able to go for the past three years! I heard about the blizzard last week and didn't realize there was another one this week. Good Luck! |
Saw on the news last night that another big dump of snow is heading your way. I'll say a prayer for you to get home safe and sound. Drive carefully! Happy New Year!!! |
Flight delay!!!!!!!! Patrick called the airport and our options were to go as scheduled and sleep with irate travelers in the Denver airport or delay our departure. So we will stay comfy in our Alabama home until Sunday afternoon and try it again! I really wanted to get back today but this will at least give Patrick time to take down the Christmas decorations which he postponed until we are back down here .... he kept eluding to "Christmas in July! :p I sincerely appreciate all your prayers and thoughts. |
you always have mine Bettyeanne ....Happy New Year !! |
Snow, snow, and more snow! Bettyeanne, I hope you both make it home safe! I am not ready for another snow storm yet. We just barely got dug out from the last one. I so hope the snowplows are ready for this one. What is going to happen with all the new snow on top of so much old snow!! Ruts are all over on the side streets! I am sure we'll all have to have our cars aligned! You are smart to stay an extra few days. There is no way I would want to stay at an airport overnight, especially with a dog. I have seen so many pictures on the news of people sleeping on the floor with an skinny wool blanket (if they are lucky) and a small airplane pillow and God knows where their luggage has gone! You wouldn't want to be any part of that fiasco! Start the New Year coming home safe!! |
I was happy to read you have decided to stay put and wait until the storm passes. It's just not worth the risk if you don't have to take it. |

Stay safe and be really careful if you have to get out in all that mess!! ;) Villette .... thanks bunches!! Happy New Year to you and your family. 2007 has gotta be good for us!! ;) |
How awful not to be able to get home when you want. Please be safe that's the important thing. Prayer's coming for safe traveling. Carol & Buddy |
I'm sorry to hear about the delay, but like everyone else has said, it is best to wait the storm out! Is little Toto w/ you? I hope you have a safe and happy journey back! ---make the delay an adventure! HA! |
You're in our prayers! I hope you get home safely. I'm glad you decided to wait until the storm passes. My friend Lydia lives in Denver and they were snowed in for days. Now they're going up to the mountains tomorrow and she's worried that they'll get snowed in up there. I love snow....but that's just crazy. |
You are in my thoughts and prayers for a safe and happy trip!! I heard about that storm !! Good luck and God bless!!! |
