Does anyone have? An iPod Nano? I am really wanting one b/c someone said you can play your songs off it on your car radio! I think that is sooo awesome that way I don't have to keep cd's in my car LOL! I have searched the internet and can't find anything on it! Can someone plz help! TIA! |
You can use any iPod with a car stereo.... My stereo has an aux input that I can plug my iPod right into.... Or if you have a tape deck you can use one of the tape things like you could for a CD player.... or you could try using an FM transmitter. |
I just got my daughter and my hubby one...You need to get a car I trip to connect it to... It plugs into your car and it plays through the radio...Cost was 70.00 for the Itrip... Or you can get an I trip to play on any radio...but that does not charge your Ipod...It works off the battery. I have the old mini ipod and i bring mine in the car all the time. If you do though... make a play list and just put it on before you start to drive. You don't want to be messing with it while your driving!!!! :) |
Here ya go... |
I just think this is soooo awesome and I feel sooo stupid at the same time! I did not know you could play your songs like a cd in your car! Does it sound just as good as putting a cd in when it is playing your songs off of there? |
Sound quality depends on what method you're using to connect to the stereo and can vary from car to car.... I couldn't get sound worth crap using an FM transmitter (like the iTrip), but a friend using my same transmitter in his car got awesome quality.... In my car it sounds BETTER than a CD when I plug it into the auxilary jack. |
Hey KellyV, I just sent you a PM! And thanks for the link! |
I have a ipod nano, I use it quite alot. just go to : http://store.apple.com I want a bigger one to put more music on, so we will see if Santa brings me one. Both my kids both have ipods and the car converter to plug it in. A lot of newer cars have audio jacks or docking stations. We had to take an unexpected car trip last feb, and between all our ipods we didn't listen to the same song more then once and it was a 22 hour round trip. |
That is soooo awesome! :cheer: I am soooo wanting one! Thanks for all the info! |
If your car has a casette player, you can always get the radio to cd adapter..I think that's what it's called. Anyway, it's a tape that has a wire coming out of it and u put it in your cars tape player and u connect the plug into your ipod. It plays the music just fine...I use it for my ipod and the sound is just like listening to a CD. It costs about 15-20 dollars. The only thing is that it doesn't charge your ipod. |
